So my family is doing Canadian Thanksgiving on Sunday morning, and we are having brunch instead of turkey dinner. My mom put me on waffle duty. I have a Belgian waffle iron, and a really good waffle recipe, but what I don’t know is how many waffles I should make!
There are five of us in our family. How many waffles can each person eat in a serving?

@red_pepper_gal: Om nom nom, waffles. I’d say 2 per person?

If you’re having lots of other stuff, I’d say most people will just have 1. If waffles are the only main dish, I’d say 2.

i LOVE waffles. but belgian ones can be filling. i’d say 1 per person, but make a couple extras.

I’d say 2 per person is a good rule. Some might not want 2, but others might want more. Honestly, most people in my family would probably eat 3. =/

I’d make 1.5 per person, with the knowledge that since you’re making waffles, you can always make more if necessary!
Mmmmm, waffles. One of the few things I’ve been able to fully tolerate while being pregnant!

My husband claims he can eat 5, but I think that might be a little overboard.I just don’t want to have to leave brunch to make more batter. I think I’ll start with 2 per person. Thanks!

I’d say make 1.5 per person, and if there are extras, they freeze really well 🙂 You just warm them up in the toaster and they are good to go.

If you can, get an extension cord and make the waffles at the table. They take forever to make and taste so much better when they are hot off the iron.

Yeah I’d definitely bring the waffle iron and batter to brunch and make them there. You’ll be able to make more as needed and they are way better fresh.
