Tonight's a pool party/bbq at my parents house... but it's pouring so I have a feeling the pool part is out. My hubby is working from home tomorrow so I get to have him around the house.
@artbee: That's fun being around family! Not so fun is the rain. I'm in Indiana and it's been absolutely perfect here (70s, sunny, slight breeze).
We are spending a quiet weekend at home. I just got back from going to Joanns by myself. It was easier that way :-) but I did find some vintagey vases for 40% off. I am very happy with my find. They are going to line the aisle with the poms I made. I will post pictures after I get them set up. The customers and workers were looking at me like I was an alien when I was there because I lined one of their aisles to get an idea of what the would look like. Tomorrow, I think we are going to go thrift store hopping. FI doesn't know it yet, but he will be driving :-)
We don't have any plans. I have an exam on Thursday that I should study for but I don't know how much I will do with it tomorrow. My husband has some HW as well. I will be glad when we are done with grad school, so sick of school!
@tintine1: :( I'm sorry! Hopefully you and your SO can do something to make that up!
@noritake22: I love Joann's, I knit and I recently went in there and purchased a bunch of new needles!
@MissAsB: I can sympathize with being tired of school--and I'm only a senior in college! I have another year (super senior) after this.
My family is meeting my fiance's family for the first time tomorrow. Oh boy. This will be an interesting labor day. :o
I'm not sure just yet! I have the day off (go gov't jobs!) but neither my SO or other friends have it off. I'm trying to think of something low key to do outside of the house on my own. Maybe a long bike ride?
Then again, today I feel under the weather. I'll be cranky if I wake up tomorrow with a full blown cold :(
It will be a relaxing day at home for my FI and I. The last few weeks have been so busy and we were out of town last weekend, so we are taking it easy and catching up on some house stuff that needs to get done.
Resting.. and homework :/
We've been gone all weekend and ran a 1/2 marathon this morning at Disneyland. Tomorrow morning we check out of the hotel and drive home (only 30 minutes away though). It has been a fun and exhausting weekend but I am so ready to go home and see my fur baby!!
I work all weekend. And by all weekend I mean I havne't had a day off since Aug. 22 because it was my sister's wedding. My next day off will be Friday. I sometimes despise working 2 jobs :/
welll tonight we went to my uncles (where my parents and a few aunts, uncles, cousins, etc were all hangin out) and we had a big fire outside and lots of food and swimming! tomorrow my mom, my aunt, and i are taking our dogs (all 5 of them) to the lake to swim!
Just finished making some spicy ranch potato salad, and we have bratwurst waiting for the grill to heat up. My parents took my 12yr. old son to Savannah/Tybee Island with them this weekend, so it's just me, my guy, and our toddler home to celebrate (meaning relaxing, lol). FH has to leave for work at 9pm for his overnight shift, so he's napping for a little bit. Hope everyone enjoys their day no matter what their plans are!
FI has been studying all day and I've been watching Prison Break on Netflix and folding tissue paper flowers for poms :)
A whole lot of nothing when I should be studying and doing homework!
Slept in, met a friend and studied for my qualifying exams, and now am curled up on the couch with weddingbee and Return of the Jedi!
I was camping with FI and his parents, but then headed home so that FI could play paintball with his buddies. So, I got a lot of planning done with my mom and now I am going to relax and enjoy the evening!
not much this weekend. a little bit of shopping on yesterday. cleaned up around the house and helped out at the restaurant for a bit. then vegging out the rest of the day.
Bought my GM's outfits at the Labor Day Outlet Sale on Saturday morning, then a baseball game Saturday night, a friends pool/bbq party yesterday, and vegging out at home today. =)
I feel for all of you that have to work, I sometimes pick up hours on holidays or school breaks. Definitely also sympathize for all those studying! I kind of laid around today--studied a tiny bit, nothing substantial. I hope everyone has a great evening!
ugh, we were planning on having a bbq at my parents' house, but FI worked in the morning and came home not feeling well, so we spent the rest of the morning debating if he should go. Then, I got called in to work, told I had a shift that I didn't know about, and then after I rushed to get ready and ran out the door, I got told not to come in because the traffic was to bad. We ended up going down to my parents' anyway, but all the earlier junk kinda overshadowed it.

My Fiance and I will be enjoying each other's company as he studies for his first final on wednesday! We started school less than two weeks ago! I'll probably sleep in a little and hopefully the weather is still amazing like it has been the last few days, we can possibly play a little tennis!
