Ours are charcoal gray and I loooove them. It's a great neutral color that goes with almost anything, but it's not the usual black or white.
i wont help you. we just got brown. gender neutral. we have ugly blue tiles in the bathroom so i had to pick something that would look ok with them.
They are gray, just like everything else in our apartment :) We hate color!
We have all white towels. I have this really weird things with towels, and I have to bleach them everytime we wash them.
Between the two of us, MinMan and I have a lot of green and tan/brown towels, with random colors thrown in. We're not coordinated or anything, green just happens to be our favorite color! As much as I love a fluffy white towel, I couldn't imagine keeping them clean. :/
My mother has the same attitude as puggy. I can't blame her. I always wanted colored towels. So honestly, we have different colors for different bathrooms (Red, yellow, green, lt blue, drk blue, cream). But the cream ones I have, I bleach. And I "trust" those towels more. Go figure....
We are boring and have white towels! Like puggy, we bleach them on a regular basis. The thing that gets me about colored towels is that the colors tend to fade, so we avoid that with white.
The ones we have right now are mismatched but nice. We just registered for chocolate brown towels and lime green-esque towels.
All White in one bathroom, and teal/light blue in the other!
I have colored towels and they don't fade. I've had only six for two years now and wash them after one use. I have seafoam green, brown, and cream ones. I use an all-natural detergent made for delicates on them and wash them on high with cold water. They're still in perfect shape and come out smelling and feeling clean every time, according to both me and FI.
We have navy towels now but I plan to buy new ones after the we buy a house. I didn't register for towels because we are planning to buy a house within a year after and don't want to register for ones and then change my mind about the color.
Thanks all! I'm leaning towards white, but we'll see what I end up with. Now on to bed linens... :)
A better question for me is, "What color towels Don't you have?!" Heh. I've bought very few towels in my life, people always seem to give me a ton. I have dark brown, deep jewel blue, light blue, medium green, dark green, medium yellow, white, cream, deep red, black, purple, and 3 beach towels (so...multicolored). My dream is to one day donate my crazy towel collection (it is HUGE!) to someplace that needs them (maybe a homeless shelter or a home for battered women) and have all my towels, wash clothes, and hand towels match. *sigh* What a dream! ;)
We registered for some neutral white towels, and then also for an aegean blue color. For the bath products (toothbrush holder, tumblers, etc) we also registered for aegean blue because all the white products had ridges and bumps, and the boy and I wanted something smooth and plain.
We registered for Brown, Tan, and bright/light blue towels for one bathroom and grey, light blue, and light green for the other bathroom. I'm especially excited about the grey towels!
Mine are all blue or green or white with blue or green stripes.
Orange. And pink. And green. Um... it's kinda a hodge podge of towels cause I've never really cared about them. That'll change once I actually live with someone else.
We have hot pink Ralph Lauren ones because, well, that's what I had in college! We also have a few sets of white RL ones because Macy's was having a super-giant sale and we wanted some not-as-girly ones. I still like the hp ones best. :p
Dark green, light green, tan, dark blue, light blue
They all kinda go together so I mix and match. I like to keep our towels different colors so we don't get them mixed up.
I have all the colors of the rainbow almost. My bedding MUST match my towels in my master bath so I have different sets for different comforters/duvets...LOL. I am the same way about my underwear/bras...LOL. The only color I DON'T have is white...reminds me too much of hotel towels.

I realized the other day that I'm tired of our bath decor (red and brown). Since I can register for new ones now :), I thought we'd change it up. What color towels do you ladies use?
