I always wanted to be an ‘artist’. I went to school for illustration and design and now I design products for my living. 🙂

Too many things to remember lol. I love learning and find a lot of different subjects really interesting. I thought about so much as a kid. Teacher, writer, journalist, Egyptologist (I love Egypt), astronomer, etc. I’m an English teacher which really meshes with my personality and love of school.

I remember being asked this question in kindergarten. The answer in 1989 was professional ice skater. To this day I have never even tried on a pair of ice skates. After that I decided I wanted to be an archaeologist. I did follow that dream through to getting my BA in world history. I have never had a job remotely related to the subject though.

Doctor.  Started university down that path, then decided I didn’t want to be in school that long.

So I chose Biochemistry, worked in a middle lab, switched careers to Occupational Health, now I’m heading into Health Management.  So at least they all are health-related!

In middle school and into high school I wanted to be a pediatric oncologist.  Then I had a horrible math teacher who told me I wouldn’t be able to, and like an idiot I believed her.

I also wanted to be an orphan when I was really little.  Just with parents.  THAT kind of orphan.

A mother.

For real.

My mom always teases me about how I was barely walking or talking but would carry my baby doll around and rock her and feed her and be so gentle with her. And when people asked what I wanted to be I said “A mommy”.

There was also a short period of time where I wanted to be the first woman president though, too…
