I was buying another pair of my beloved Toms recently. My feet seem to be somehwere between a size 8 and 8 1/2, and with Toms I take the 8 1/2. I’d never given my shoe size much thought before. At the checkout the sales lady commented that whomever I was buying these for had huge feet. I was SO embarassed I played along and acted like they were in fact a gift.
What is your shoe size? Now I’m curious what other womens feet are like!

snowflake8 : She’s wrong. I worked in shoe stores for quite a while. Most women seem to be 7-8.5.

Before I had kids I was a 6 1/2. Now I’m a 7. FWIW, I don’t think 8 1/2 is very big at all.

I’m 5’7 and I was size 8-8.5 until college, since then my feet have grown to 8.5-9. I usually get a 9 now. It’s weird for me because I thought my feet wouldn’t grow again until I got pregnant? But I’m pretty sure my feet are small for how tall I am?

I am US size 6. This seems to be about an average size here (judging by the sample size that is always in the store on display it’s either 6 or 7). I guess I would say that for me, above 8 does strike as unusual, cause I have never met anyone with that size. But I think it’s a weird subject to give so much thought, and it’s was super weird and kind of rude of the sales lady to comment

I wear a size 9. I feel like it’s a pretty popular size simply because the shoe stores almost never have shoes I like in my size. I don’t consider myself to have large feet. I’m 5’8, so I feel like they’re pretty proportionate.

I’m a Euro 35/ Aus size 5. It’s annoying because a lot of shoe brands start their sizing at 6 🙁 My feet are also very narrow so even if the length of the shoe is correct they are often too wide grr.

I’m 5’9″ and wear a size 12 -_-

I’m an 8.5 but my feet are unusually narrow so I have trouble finding shoes that don’t fall off my feet. I’ve been teased by relatives because my feet are really long but skinny so I guess they’re strange looking? I honestly think they’re perfectly proportional to my body.

What an off color and bizarre thing for the sales woman to comment. I am a size 7 1/2.

7.5-8. Pretty much everyone I know is around 7-9, so I don’t think 8.5 is big.

Wow that’s so rude! Mine is between 7-8 so I definitely don’t think 8 1/2 is big. Even if she did think that it was incredibly unprofessional for her to say that.
