Okay, so I know I am not a college kid anymore. I no longer drink like I used to, hardly go out drinking or clubing anymore. I go to work every day and have my routine. You get the picture.
So…. I had a couple glasses of wine at a friend’s house and I woke up hung over?! So I’m sitting at work feeling like sh*t and wondering how the hell this happened?

Ha! Sorry you’re feeling bad but I can’t drink anymore either. I never really drank all that much but now when I go out and start drinking, I get about half a drink in and develop a headache! Not fun – but I’m a pretty cheap date. 😉

that’s hilarious – i had that thought last week. We went out on a weeknight to this big event and to a bar afterward… it was barely 10 and i’m like, we HAVE to get home! I’m going to turn into a pumpkin! Though after some reflection, i’m much happier in my routine than going out all the time. Better for my BANK ACCOUNT also, not drinking much 😉

I feel ya. When I was in college, I could drink like a CHAMP. I’m talking beers, shots, etc., ALL NIGHT and feel great the next day.
Now, in my mid-30’s, I have a couple of drinks and feel hungover the next day, without even the fun of being drunk the night before.

This happens to me all the time now!! i used to party hard and now that I don’t go out as much, when I drink …IT’S OVER!! I’m wasted so quick and the next day SUCKS!! It takes me all morning and afternoon to recover!!

@fancygirl- It’s ok LOL. Just wish I didn’t have two interviews to do today. We are def cheap dates!
@Melissabegins- I have to add that I left my friends house at 9:30 haha. I don’t miss drinking like a college kid and I def would rather have the money in my pocket right now, but 3 glasses of wine and I’m down and out! I woke up this morning and all I could think was wow I got old.

I just graduated last May, but I never drank in college (I had a sip of champ for a wedding toast, but that’s it). Sometimes I think I missed out haha – but I loved college and totaly miss it!
Either way, I also feel totally old now becuase I don’t even stay out late (probably the down side of moving back in with mom and dad haha).

@danadelphia- I remember being in college and pre-gaming going out at 11 and then coming back and drinking more only to sleep for a couple hours and repeat. Now I’m in bed my 10 ever night and after two drinks I’m done haha
@jingle96- I don’t think drinking is worth is anymore. We get drunk way to quick and spend days recovering! What happened to missing class the next day, I need drinking recovery days now!

Haha, if it helps, you sound like me and I’m still in college. I did the partying thing in high school, but with the hours I work and classes now that I’m in college I rarely have more than 2 or 3 glasses of wine at a time. And I certainly wouldn’t be able to handle what I used to drink (read: way too much tequila).

Haha, I drank half a beer last night when I got home from work, and fell asleep on the couch at 8 o’clock. GAH!

Haha, I totally hear you. It’s happened to me too.
My motto used to be “work hard, play hard”, and now it’s more like “it’s 10pm!? Why am I still awake??!”
Up until a year or so ago, I could stay up late, drink as much as I liked, go out, party, etc. and be totally fine for work the next morning. Now, not so much (read: at all). The staying up late is especially what kills me now. Ugh, getting old sucks. 🙂

Count me in the crowd that can’t drink much anymore.
I also found that the older I get the more water I have to drink before and after I even have one glass of wine.

@Sage- You sound like me!
@gabrielleelise1981- I used to have a motto that way like there is always time to sleep later. Now I need to get to bed as early as possible.

Haha, Boyfriend or Best Friend had a drink and a half last week, and was gone.
It was pretty funny.
He was surprised, but I told him we don’t drink all that often, so of course it hit him hard.

Gaahhhh!!! I know, right!?!?!??!
When i hit about 27 I started to realize that no matter how much or how little I drink, I’m ALWAYS hungover!!! NO amount of water, ibuprofen, or greasy food can save me. *sigh*
