My FI is really heavy into gaming. He's been dying to get Bio Shock 2 since he found out there would be a second one. It came out today, so I picked it up for him along with a card. Nothing fancy.

Well we're super duper broke so we're being boring.  We're just going out to dinner, and we're using our joint account so no one's treating.  And I bought him a couple shirts, simply because he needs clothes badly!  But I don't think he'll get me anything.  No biggie though!

I really wanted a weekend getaway but with all the wedding expenses this month we are playing low-key too! Going to dinner at this italian restaurant we've been to the last 5 years for v-day...then maybe I'll set up some flowers and candles in the bedroom...bowchikamrowmow ;) You can splurge next time, you have many valentines days ahead!!

I got him a nice card. I don't think I'll be getting anything. Money's just too tight this year! Oh well, usually we'd make a nice dinner together and rent a movie and eat some really decadent homemade chocolate dessert.

FH is working this V-Day though so we're postponing until the weekend after where we'll celebrate by going to see the Chinese New Year festivities in town.

I'm just getting him a card.  We are going out for dinner on Saturday, but no gifts are expected.  We usually don't get each other Valentine's gifts.  Just a card and dinner.

We are moving next month into a house with no washer and dryer an no fridge.  So that is wher we are getting eechother for Valentines... I figure it is a really good investment and we will have one less expense when we actually buy a house.

    Happy Valentines Day Bees!

A card. His bday is in April and mine is 4 days after Vday. Spring has enough gifts floating around!

There's a fantasy series that most of my and his friends have absolutely loved for a few years which I know is right up his alley but he hasn't gotten around to finding the books yet, so I finally bought him the first two books in the series as part of his Valentine's gift. It's nice to know for sure when you hit on something he's going to LOVE. :) I've also planned some really fun stuff for us to do this weekend, and I'll probably bake him something sweet.

My biggest gift to him was and is resisting my all-powerful urge to plan a weekend getaway, as I am wont to do for every single special occasion in the world, since we've been doing a ton of traveling over the last six months and have a ton more booked for the next six months. That will be a serious money-saver, which we do need with all else that is going on. Sometimes you just need to stay put for a little bit.

I bought him a copy of Pablo Neruda's "Intimacies: Poems of Love" which has beautiful art and some of Neruda's best love poems in both Spanish and English. I also picked up some salted caramels from a chocolate company we haven't yet tried while I was in California last weekend. Obviously, this wouldn't work for everyone's sweetie, but mine is both into literature and cheesy displays of affection (and, chocolate, of course).

We're also going away for the weekend and staying at a romantic little B&B (we almost always go somewhere for this weekend because it is also my birthday weekend). Thus, we decided on no lavish displays for V-day, but I think I found thoughtful and enjoyable gifts.

Damn you bees are GOOD! i like how you all found gifts that your other halves will love :) thats what important...regardless of price! sometimes the most thoughtful gifts are ones we can make ourselves! this year thought, I decided to buy something instead once I got some ideas in my head...i went shopping after work and got him new sneakers and some work out clothes (he's been back to the gym and i know he could use some new stuff!) were gunna go to a lowkey restaurant on sat. and just relax home together on sunday...im thinking a lazy day...i wish there was a restaurant that could deliver breakfast in bed to us HAHAH :) happy vday to all of you!

I got him a heartfelt card and also a cute one from the cat. Lol.  I saw it at Walmart and coudn't pass it up! The cat loves him kuz he spoils her with too much food! His job is strenuous and he's always achey and in need of a message so I got us a couples hot stone massage including facials, relexology, and champagne and chocolates. I cannot wait to go! So romantic and i've always wanted a hot stone massage! And of course I got somthing sexy to wear later... Wink
