I am getting married on Long Island, NY and want to have a catholic ceremony. I know all catholic ceremonies require pre-cana classes, but I don’t want to have to lie to the church about my fiance and I living together. I know some catholic churchers are more strict than others, and I am wondering if any other bees out there know of any Long Island chaples that will be less strict regarding the pre cana classes and who they will marry.
Any advise or suggestions would be appreciated.

@shools164: our lady of Lourdes in Massapequa park didn’t ask us any of that stuff. The pastor there is great. He’s awesome. I didn’t feel like I was being judged. The pre-Cana class was boring and we did have to go to confession & say if we had premarital sex but it wasn’t like judgy. It was just like ok just say it if you did and then you’d be absolved of your sins. It wasn’t infront of people either, it was in the confessional. It’s a one day precana class as well. a really long day but at least you’re done with it
