@LindaD76: I'm in the same boat! We are looking for early-mid August & because we are a party of 6, we are thinking an apartment/vacation rental might be cheapest for us. If money isn't an issue than I'm sure you will find an awesome hotel. I always use Trip Advisor and read through the reviews.
What kind of dinner experience are you looking for? Sushi? Italian? Mexican? If you are up for something a bit different we had my good friend's bachelorette dinner at Sammy's Romanian which is a old family romanian style restaurant with music played by a little old man; people were dancing around the restaurant by the end of the night.
What kind of vibe are you looking for ...I can then suggest some venues.
Lucky Changs is so much fun! It's a drag show but is full of brides. It was the best bachelorette party I have ever been to. If I were having mine here in NYC it would be there.
My bridal party took me to Lucky Cheng's! Even though I was a little reluctant at first when they told me they were taking me there...I ended up having an awesome time! One of the best nights ever!

I am going to NYC for my bachelorette party in mid-August. Does anyone have any suggestions on either great hotels, or awesome places to go? I would especially appreciate suggestions of great restaurants or fun clubs to go to...I haven't been to NYC in years and have no idea where a group of single ladies can go for a yummy fun dinner and fun night out on the town.
