Just curious, what is the general price of the Hank Lane and other bands you mentioned? Thanks!
I didn't use any of the bands you mentioned but I loved the band we had at our wedding. We hired Soul Revival and they were so amazing!!!! DH and I had the best time and they were one of our very favorite vendors! I highly recommend checking them out too. I know they are having a showcase in the city next week, I think my cousin said it was Wednesday (she is going to check them out too).

We booked Hank Lane (the Michael Hart band) for our wedding, and while they are expensive, they sounded amazing on the recording we heard, and I"ve only heard good reviews about them at weddings/events. I'm really excited about them!
We booked a Hank Lane band also...The Ernest Mills band. They sounded great and I've heard great reviews.
We were VERY close to booking a Faze 4 band (True Blue) but changed our minds when we heard the one at Hank Lane. Since then I've seen a Faze 4 band at a friends wedding and they were AWESOME. So i would recommend them as well. Pricewise they are similar to Hank Lane though.
We liked the Hank Lane band but yes, they are quite pricy!! We want a very rock n roll vibe and were going to book the Dan Zellon band from HL had we not found the band we went with. Sam Hill Entertainment represents bands from all over the country and acts as an intermediary between brides/corporate functions and the bands. Most of them tour/play on their own as well. We are planning to hire Full House, a LI bar band. We drove out to see them a few weekends ago and they are TIGHT!
That being said I don't think my dad mailed in the contract yet, so please don't book them for 10-10-10, kthxbai.

If we go with Hank Lane we will use Kenny Ford-their vocals were amazing.
Could some NYC bees post prices for bands that they've booked and/or were given quotes for? I just have NO idea what the price ranges are like, and need to start looking, uh, right now!

Using The ALL STARS from STAR TALENT - in NYC - Saw them at my friends party at the Plaza Hotel -- Totally Fantastic Band -- -Great Top 40 -- played Jay Z, Estelle, Hip Hop -- played totally fun 80s -- we actually liked 3 of their bands but booked them because we had seen them. Finally found a band without chessy haircuts !!!

Hi Bees,
I am a bit behind on the to-do list so I am just now working on booking a band. I have made calls to Starlight, Hank Lane, Greg Denard, and NYFF. I was wondering if any of you have booked them yourselves or have been at weddings where they performed.
I have attended a Starlight wedding and met with Hank Lane and both are amazing sounding-just on the pricey side.
