I'll be getting married in June at the New York Public Library and can't wait! Share your NYC venue!
The library will be an awesome place for a wedding!!!! It's one of my favorite buildings in the city. That'll be beautiful!
We're getting married outside of NYC at Bear Mountain State Park--one of the lodges up there does wedding stuff, and it's so pretty. It'll be in Fall, so hopefully it'll be full of leafy colorness. :-) We went up there recently, and it was then...I'm excited.
We are getting married at Bridgewaters at the South Street Seaport. Two months to go. Will post pics when it's all said and done
The library is such an awesome venue! We just got married at the Central Park Boathouse.
i got married at the tribeca rooftop. looooooved the venue. one of the best decisions we made. wish i could post pro pics of the space but the photos are locked through the photog. it's really an amazing venue.
@lauren810c: You and moderndaisy have had the most beautiful pics ever. I swear, anytime I see your wedding pics, my heart melts all over again.
To the OP, as one who knows more branches of the NYPL than most New Yorkers, I am positively green with envy at your location. It looks so gorgeous. You MUST post pictures afterwards :)
I was at the NY Botanical Gardens in the Bronx
We had hotel blocks at the Roosevelt and the Radisson Lexington and they were both in the $159-$179 range
Ah wow, my fiance and I love that place. When we there on holiday last New Years (we also got engaged) we stumbled across it whilst walking around Central Park. At one point we were thinking of getting married in NYC and we would have done it at The Boathouse, but as it would've been only close friends and immediate family there wouldn't have been enough of us to hire out one of their rooms so wouldn't have done the place justice. I bet it was beautiful for you?
Great venues ladies! @nyckitten: I am also going to the Lighthouse.. really fell in love with the unique location and service!
@Prewitt: Yeah, it's a fabulous place--very classic NYC, which is why we wanted it. We had an amazing time there, and I'll definitely post some pro pics once I get my disk--that should be in the next two weeks.
The W looks awesome. I had a crush on Gustavino for a bit but I've decided to keep it in Brooklyn. We're geting hitched at the Brooklyn Museum of Art.
totally unrelated but ROYGBIV - best name ever! it made me chuckle :)
@mabinqueens - water's edge was my front runner in NYC - i LOVE LOVE LOVE that place. sadly by the time tax and service charges were added to the total, the cost was still about $30/pp over my intended budget :( i can't wait to hear how your wedding goes though! are you doing your ceremony on site? when i went there, they said they were planning to build an attached barge that would allow for outdoor ceremonies. swooon!
We had our wedding in Brooklyn at MyMoon in Williamsburg. Kenan is incredible and about 1/2 of our guests have already gone back for a "regular" dinner. We had our rehearsal dinner at ReBar it was AMAZING.
I can supply more pictures if needed.
I got married at Studio Square last October. AWESOME. Loved it. Had our after party in the beer garden which was perfect.
Have fun!
@KateinNYC: i liked this place too but my party is too small. :(
My fiance and I are grad students in the humanities. We are getting married at Housing Works Used Bookstore in SOHO. I'm so exicted.

@doctorbee28: Oh wow like Carrie! lol That is such a beautiful venue!
My wedding is gonna be small, so we'll be doing the Ceremony at Prospect Park & reception by a restaurant by the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Im excited to take pics all around Brooklyn!
@marlie:Hi, I'm seriously considering Tribeca Rooftop-- do you have any insight? How was hte food? I love the site but my one concern is I cant find any pics of the food presentation. Did you also look at the Lighthouse? Any 411 would be greatly appreciated. :)
I am getting married at Twenty Four Fifth in October! I feel in love with the art deco feel of it
@inloveinbk: Are you doing the day wedding at Rebar or the later one on the 16th. I have to book a date soon and still lean towards the Sunday wedding from 7-11, but still think that is too late.
