Check out New york Magazine Bridal, I belive they have  alist of annual sample sales...I've been to a few..

I got mine at Bridal Reflections sample sale (I got  a Marisa dress for $780!!!!) so I was VERY pleased. And they do not advertise that mush so the dresses are in good condiiton and their sample sales are by appointment (there was only 1 other bride in teh store when I went) The sale was in January...

Filenes Basement Runing of the brides just passed, I went in for a peek ot of curiosity and it was a mad house. It smelled like sweat, women were intheir bras trying ondresses grabbing whatever they could. I went to it when my sister got married a few years agoa nd remmebred that it was very chaotic, hard to find a good size, in good condition... and the women there are very aggressive. I hit someone on the head witha hanger by accident because she snuck her head right under my arm to grab a dress... it was insane.

My sister got her dress at Mika Inatome, it was a sample for $500 It was not  sample sale but the deisgner was jsut selling samples for less. I would also suggecst calling individual stores you are interested in and asking  if they discount samples. The higly publicized sampl sales are very picked over.

Also I read online that Vera Wang is coming out with an affordable bridal line this spring. (just google it) and J Crew/Nicole Miller have affordable dresses as well...

Daily Candy also lists bridal sample sales. I think most of them are in December and May for some reason... hope this helps!
