NYC DJ under or around $1000?

    Hi,

    Can anyone recommend a DJ in the NYC area that charges less than $1000 for weddings?

    We used FM Entertainment, they're based out of LI. We had a one man DJ/MC (we used Frankie) and they were under 1000. I have to say Frankie did a wonderful job and also helped us pack our car at the end of the wedding.

    We were really really impressed with DJ Gaza.  He's charging us $1250, but he'll be there from 3pm until midnight.  (Our arrival time is at 5pm and the DJ wants to make sure that everything is perfect and working).

    I second DJ Gaza, and my post would be the same as tatrifon's. Granted we also didn't have our wedding yet, but all I've heard are good reviews and he's been very professional to deal with so far.

    I third DJ Gaza!  He's also now got a few experienced and proven DJs under his wing.  Slightly over your budget but depending on your music tastes, he is worth it.
