Hi bees! so i bought my wedding ring online, but wanted to get it engraved before the wedding. does anyone know any jewelers in NYC that engrave rings that aren’t bought from them? i have no idea where to go!

@esqbee: I went to a great little local jeweler in the East Village. They re-sized my ring that I didn’t buy from them, so I’d think they might do engravings of rings too.
It’s called “Little King” on 9th st btw 1st and 2nd ave.
Give them a call and see if they do engravings.

Do you want hand engraving? You could try the diamond district, that’s where I plan to go.

@KatNYC2011: thank you so much! i contacted them and they do engrave! i’m going to try to swing by there in the next week or so and see if they can help.
@KitKatNYC: i thought about the diamond district, but was a little nervous because i dont know where to go there, and i didn’t feel comfortable just walking blindly into a place and just handing over my ring to them. I mean, it is insured, but i didn’t get the best vibe from some of the places there when i went to look at wedding rings. Is there a place there you know/trust?

OK, so the place KatNYC recommended is temporarily closed until they get their new space ready, so i’m trying again. Does anyone else have a jeweler they know/trust that i might be able to contact for engraving? would love for the place to be above 14th street, but will go anywhere for a great recommendation…thanks!!!

Eugene Shulimovich is the guy I was hoping to visit – his reviews are really good and he’s been mentioned in the NY Times. I want hand engraving because I’ve read that machine engraving can wear off over time.

@esqbee: This person was recommended to me by the person who made my ring. Think he only does hand engraving, but it turned out great.
