- Wedding: September 2013
I am seriously considering getting married at the Marriage Bureau in NYC. I think it’s very romantic and just the intimate occassion that a wedding should be. I’ve watched a few Youtube videos of weddings held there and noticed that some of the officiants say “…to love, cherish, honor from this day forward…etc” and others just say “Do you take this man/woman to be your husband/wife”.
Does anyone know if you get to talk to the officiant beforehand or if you can request that they say the long version of the vows or do you just get whatever they say? I know city hall weddings are meant to be short and to the point, but it would be nice if we can add a small personal touch.
