Ironically I'm not sure if I can make it but I did email my friend to ask her if we could possibly make a reservation so we at least have a couple tables. I dunno if it's possible esp. on a Friday but I'll letcha know what she says. If we can, whether or not I make it I'll see what I can set up.
NeliBee- I think someone is going to bring name tags. So I guess we just look for the girl(s) with nametags? This is a first for me!
i'll be the girl with the name tags!!!!! i'll try and get there earlier. I have an idea, why don't we all try and wear a white scarf, or a light colored scarf if you have one (nothing crazy just my street vendor pashmina) . this way the earlier girls can find each other and the later girls will see the people with name tags. its like a blind date lol

@ MissAsscher that's a great idea (the scarves). I'm really trying to make it but I might have to work.
Ok, so bad news all around - my friend isn't working on Fri and she says they don't take table reservations for Fri nights because it gets pretty busy.
Also - tomorrow is the Knicks vs. Lakers game so it's prolly gonna be way packed since Local's right across the street from MSG.
Hmm...that's not good. Do you all think we should change the location? Anyone have any other ideas?
I shall BEE there! But yeah might be a good idea to look into what to do. Though there really were only like 15 people who responded...what do we all think??

I'm open to the general consensus. Once we finalize a location, I'm going to post a reminder on the main blog (aiming for tomorrow morning). So I'll keep this thread "favorited". Looking forward to meeting you all!
I am so bummed!! Every time there is a NYC meetup I am either leaving town or have someone visiting from OOT :(
I think we should try to find a new location, since it seems like Local West will be crazy with the Knicks game. What about Joshua Tree, on 46th and 8th Avenue? Or Social, on 48th and 8th Ave? Anyone have a preference?
Actually, on second thought, I think it's just easier to keep it at Local West. We'll just make do if it's crowded--it'll be cozy! So 7pm--I'll probably be there a little earlier, if anyone else can make it at like 6:30/6:45?

Ugh - work suuuuuuucks today. I might not know if I can make it until later tonight - it'll have to be a game time call (no pun intended - hah!). I might be late too though -- any idea how late you guys think you'll be there? Or if you think it'll be like a Happy Hour thing?
I'm down with keeping it at Local - FI and my bartender friend said it might clear out a little since a lot of people with tickets drink there before they go inside. Maybe once everyone's there & if it's still jammed once the game starts we can move somewhere else?

ARGH!!!! I am stuck at work gang - not gonna make as I have tix to see Avatar in Brooklyn tonight with the FH :( I was soooo looking forward to this!

I totally got screwed at work! I just left like 20 minutes ago. I'm so so so bummed that I missed tonight. Hope you guys had/are having a wonderful time. I'd love to try again soon!
I'm down for trying again soon -- looks like there were a bunch of us that couldn't make it. I'm bummed.
Maybe next time we can shoot for a brunch. I'm usually much more flexible on the weekends, especially Sunday's. And I maybe it'd be easier to get a table reserved on a weekend day?
Weekends seem better, at least for me since I tend to not work on weekends. But I do also like the idea of a happy hour type-thing because then people aren't committed to having to a meal, and can just buy a drink or two (for the budget-conscious like myself :) ).
Personally I'll do my best to show up to the next one though! What are people's calendars looking like for next month? :)
