Radisson Lexington near Penn Station, is that too far down for you?
They were able to give me the best rates for our Aug 2010 wedding.
Try On the Ave, which is on 74th and Broadway. There's also Beacon Hotel in that same area, and definitely a few more. If you google hotels nyc upper west side, there seem to be a few less expensive options. I'd be surprised if there weren't one or two up by Columbia Med School, which is on 168th.
@hilsy85: I second On the Ave - my mom loves it and wants to stay there every time she's in town.

Hi guys,
I'm getting married in Fort Tryon Park up by the Cloisters next May and trying to figure out where/how to reserve a block of hotel rooms for out of town guests. Most of the good deals seem to be way downtown, which is a looong subway or cab ride to the park (up at 190th St.). Does anyone have any suggestions of hotels near Columbus circle or even further north? Hoping to find a decent rate if possible. Thank you!
