I know that NYC parks dept says that you can have a max of 100ppl at the wedding ceremony in the park (most locations) but how strict are they on this…I mean it’s a public park. We are looking at about 150 guests in total

And while we are at it…
How many people can you get away with, WITHOUT a permit?

It depends on the park but most are pretty strict, especially in the spring and fall when there’s a lot of stuff going on in the parks. Without a permit, they’re likely to break up any group over about 10 people. I really wouldn’t try to skirt the rules on a big, important event like a wedding.

To anyone thinking of getting married in central park.
Take a look at this site about sites available and their max amounts of ppl.
Just don’t take my date!
