We are looking at venues in NYC for early 2014. We are pretty flexible on dates – we just want a Saturday afternoon. I have gotten some quotes for about 180 (after tax and service) per person. We are looking for about 200 people. Looks like Jan or Feb are the better months for off peak prices, eh?
Any thoughts on a nice venue that can compete?
We’ve reached out to the Boathouse, Lighthouse and are looking at some lofts as well.
Anyone do anything cool and creative to keep costs down and still have a NYC wedding? (outside of leaving Manhattan)
Also, if you had a rediculously cheap Manhattan wedding, we’d love to hear the details!

You’re wise to do an earlier wedding as the price is cheaper (12 to 5PM would be still appropriiate). My NYC picks which are all good and within your budget:
Alger House in the Village
The Edison Ballroom
http://www.edisonballroom.com (a little pricey)
Sequoia at South street Seaport
Top of the Tower, The Beekman Tower Hotel
Ridiculously cheap wedding in NYC? I’m yet to find that one!

@masorrentino: We are in the same boat. We are looking to do a Saturday afternoon wedding in early 2014. We are only 100 people so I don’t think any of the palces we have contacted would fit your party size. Would love to hear if you have been able to find anything yet.
