I'd also suggest checking out http://www.wpja.com/, Wedding Photojournalist Association. That's how we found Bill....but it's a great site...lots of links to photographers in NYC, with clear listings of their prices. :-)

I've heard good things about Dante Williams. I'm using Indigo Foto. I have a spreadsheet I can send you if you'd like. It's 2010 prices though.

The wpja is okay but I find them to be not balanced enough, they frown on retouching and people looking in the camera. Look for someone who can balance portraits and photojounalism, for you want more than just a document of the day you want a sory to be told

I have read some older posts about NYC wedding photographers but wanted to post a new one for current recommendations. I want to spend $4,000 or less and want that to include some type of album (coffee table book style but okay with a middle quality hardcover). I like photojournalistic styles but will be having a formal Manhattan ballroom wedding so also like a classic NY traditional focus. Anyone have any names they can share???
