NYE Brides-when did you send you STD/Invites?

I am a NYE 2012 bride and was curious if the NYE 2011 brides could let me know when you sent your save the dates out. Since it is a holiday, etc. I know I need to send out early, just wasnt sure when.

Also, how early did you send your invitations out? I know I have time but i just want to get an idea

Well I am 12/30, but it is close!

I sent my invites 10 weeks in advance. I didn't do STDs though so I sent them extra early. But I would agree, send them out earlier than you normally would because it is a holiday.

@BrookieCookie9: Send the STD more than 6 months out. I know lots of people that plan for this holiday early. You want to make sure you get them in. I would also send your invites 10-12 weeks.

I actually sent my STDs along my holiday cards in Dec 2010! (we actually sent out Happy New Year Cards) and inserted the STD. It was a ton of fun and it allowed people who were thinking about New Years this year to invision next years party.

I got a ton of great feedback.

And now going foward, we will always send out New Years card inside of Christmas cards to keep with our theme!

I think we sent our STD's out in May (we just got engaged in March) and then our invites went out on October 1st. We used 12/3 as our RSVP deadline. So far so good. We are only missing a few with 3 days left.

@BrookieCookie9:Hi! We are sending our save the dates out in January. I read somewhere that if you are getting married on a holiday then they should go out 10-12 months in advance. Looks everyone will be stuck with a magnet of us on their fridge for a year :)
