- Wedding: December 2014
So I need some opinions/ advice on our menu. We are having a NYE wedding in 2014. We are having approx 60 guests. I know its a long time a way but we are going to be making the food for the wedding (with the help of family and friends and a few hired highschool students). At first I thought it would be best to have H’orderves served around for a more elegant feel but I love the idea of having little stations. I also didnt want to do traditional wedding food as many people have roast beef, turkey, chicken etc already around the holiday season.
Let me know if you have any food or serving suggestions or if you have anything to add or think I dont need. I didnt want to do a full buffet dinner as the reception will start at 8pm but I also wanted to have enough food so everyone is food happy and entertained.
Station #1) Mashed Potato Bar
Garlic whipped Potatos in martini glasses with choice of toppings: Scallions, Bacon, Sour cream, Cheddar Cheese, Gravy, Butter, Cubed Ham, Popcorn chicken, corn
Station #2) Nacho Bar
Assorted tortilla chips with choice of toppins: Warm cheese sauce, Sour cream, Salsa, Onions, Tomatos, Olives, Jalapenos, Refired beens, Guacamole.
Station #3) Pasta Bar
Alfredo Sauce, Tomato Sauce, Penne, Tortellini, Grilled Chicken, Meatballs, Parmesan, Garlic, Mushrooms and Onions, Garlic Bread
Station #4) Salad and Dip Bar
Romaine Lettuce with Croutons, Choice of dressings, Assorted fresh vegetables, Humus, Spinach dip, Tzatziki, Brushetta, Pita bread, Assorted crackers and Cheeses
Station #5) Candy and Cupcake Bar
Do you think this is enough variety or should I also do passed around H’orderves?(Mini quiche, stuffed mushroom caps, egg rolls, Mini pizza bites, coconut shrimp, Beef or Chicken Satay skewers, bacon wrapped scallops, smoked salmon..)
