what about something like "ring in the new year with wedding bells"?
Maybe it sounds off because you are using "celebrate" 2x in the same sentence. What about something like: "As we welcome the new year, plan to celebrate the end of 2012 with us at our wedding!

I am wanting to send my STD early for my NYE wedding but I am stuck on the wording.
I was thinking of it saying something like:
As we celebrate the start of the new year, plan to celebrate the end of 2012 with us at a wedding!
But it just doesn't seem right... suggestions???
