We’re planning to DIY our own flowers (bouquets & centrepeices). I will have the help of my sister, my BM and maybe my Mom, plus the army that is my FSILs and my 20-something F-neices-IL. So about 10 people.
We’ll be using 6″ wet foam balls from Michaels, on top of 27″ vases.
What I want to know, is: how far ahead of time can we get together and assemble the centrepeices? How long does a we foam ball stay “wet?”
Our wedding is on a Saturday, could we assemble the balls on a Thursday evening?

Yes, floral oasis stays moist for many days. However, there is a secret to getting your floral oasis foam truly wet so it will keep your flowers. My mom worked at a florist and she said the trick is to us an old shower head that has small nubs that protrude, press it against the foam and force it slightly into it so that the water penetrates all the way to the core. Foam can seem saturated but only the exterior and not to the core. She says that florists have a tool that’s similar to a shower head with nubs that they use to force water in deep and that’s why professional arrangements hold up better. Hope this helps.

@Cappugcino: thanks for the reply & advice. So happy they last many days. I’ve been reading and watching tutorials on how to (and how not to) soak Oasis foam, universally the advice has been to just “allow to sumerge”.
Maybe we’ll try a test with the forced-water method too. Particularly since we’ll be cutting a hole so the ball fits on top of the long slender vases, that would be a good point to apply the water.
