I am truly sorry for you FMIL. My thoughts and prayers go to you and your family.

Obamacare WILL be one of the worst things that happens to this country.

I lost my insurance because of ACA, and I had GOOD coverage. I liked my plan but can’t keep it. My mom lost her medicare plan. She liked her plan, but can’t keep it. Oh, and her new medicare plan has to cover maternity and pediatric dentistry!? I knew this would be bad, but not this bad. I’m so pissed about this whole thing its not even funny.

Sorry about your so’s mom, I’ll send some prayers her way that everything is OK.

@MissSangria:  sorry to her. Do you know exactly why/how this is the fault of the ACA? Just curious I work in the field and am always interested to hear things I haven’t heard yet.

Technically there shoukd be no change in coverage yet since the ACA doesn’t go into effect until January. I’m not well versed in trI-care though so maybe that’s why.

@MissSangria:  Your rant is justified – someone you care about is sick and because of politics it’s adding stress to an already stressful situation. I’m so sorry sweetie. Sending truckloads of postive thoughts to you all!! Big hugs!!

@MissSangria:  That’s horrible about your FMIL and prayers to her and you & your FI.

Obamacare was NEVER a good idea.

@chelseakayd:  medicare isn’t free either, they take her payments for it out of her SSI check. Her new plan is 15% more because of the “added coverage” and her SSI cost of living increase is the lowest in history at 1.5%.  On top of that she has to go to the ACA website to apply for it! I’m just sick about it. She is going to have to move to afford her medical care, either to a not so great neighborhood or to a surrounding small town. I’m horrified.

@tksjewelry:  not all people who qualify for medicare are elderly which is why pregnancy is a covered benefit.

also the whole if you like you plan you can keep it is a misperception of the original statement. If your plan meets minimum criteria and you like it you can keep it. If it doesn’t meet minimum criteria you can’t.

@MissSangria:  This has to be so frustrating. Especially since the website doesn’t work anyway. And “one day” is a big deal when you’re talking about cancer.

I don’t see why one day is such a big deal
