Does anyone have a recommendation for an OB/GYN in NYC? I moved here last year from London, and never got around to finding a doctor. Hopefully we'll have babies soon, and I'd like to start seeing a doctor now to establish a relationship. I'd prefer to see a woman.
Thanks!
Oh, and I guess you could send me a pm if you don't want to talk about this on the internet.
I can suggest Dr. Heidi Rosenberg - at Murray Hill OB/GYN. The other doctors in that office are women as well, and while she is not going to be your best friend, she is a good doctor. Hope this helps!
I'm a huge fan of Downtown Women OB/GYN (Broadway & Houston). http://www.downtownwomenobgyn.com/. They are very kind, always on time and you can get an appointment on short notice. Good luck!
hi ladies. i clicked on this post because i too am looking for a good ob/gyn in nyc. Downtown Womens clinic doesnt take my insurance :( . i googled Dr. Heidi Rosenberg and came up with this. She was sued for malpractice for the death of a patient. http://www.lawyersandsettlements.com/settlements/03371/cancer_malpractice.html
Don't mean to scare anyone but I also didn't want to keep this from you either. If anyone has any other recs, please post! Thanks!
Dr Gideon Panter, He is the social register OB/GYN and I have seen him since I was a teenager. I like him very much, very discreet, I feel I can tell him anything, very professional small office-not a big center with a jillion doctors located at 653 Park Avenue and uses NY Presbyterian Hospital which is state of the art for birthing etc. Hope this helps
Dr. Hsiang Chen. She has private practice on UES but is associated with Mt. Sinai Medical Center. A friend of mine recommended her ( Dr. Chen delivered her baby) and I've been going to her for a few years now. She is wonderful.
If you are still looking, I think my OB/GYN is the best! She is really nice and comforting in any situation. My sister also goes to her and the practice delivered my first nephew a few months ago. My sister and her husband were extremely pleased with all of the doctors in her practice (which I guess is a good thing since you never know who will be on call when you go into labor!).
My doctor's information is:
Dr. Suzanne Pastore
150 E. 71st Street NY, NY 10021 Phone: 212-879-4742 Fax: 212-288-2126

This post makes me smile. This should be a Sex and The City episode.
