My coworkers are always laughing at me because I always, always notice women’s rings. Not even just engagement rings! I love ALL rings. It’s not even materialistic. I never judge people on them. I just love seeing all the different styles and (when it’s slow at work) finding out the story behind them, etc! Or learning about stones I’ve never heard of before. I’m not sure what it is but I just love them. And whenever I compliment a ring, especially an engagement ring, the lady wearing it gives me a big smile and I know I’ve made her day an eensy bit better.
One of my friends got engaged, and I told her how gorgeous her ring was and she teared up and gave me a huge hug because she said she knows I pay a lot of attention to rings, and she was flattered that I liked it. LOL!
Does anyone else notice rings to this extent? Or anything else?

I notice too. There are so many styles out there, it’s neat to get to see them.

I love looking at the different amazing styles & I can’t stop myself from noticing 🙂 I’d say it’s perfectly normal!

I’m totally the same way. I have noticed from being on this particular site that women are very sensitive about their rings. It’s always nice to get a compliment and have someone seem genuinely interested.

I am the same way ! I cannot help it ! I believe jewelry tells a story and rings tell the best stories of all ! I’m so glad to find out I’m not alone in this ! 🙂

I‘ve started paying more attention but the one time I complemented someone she looked ever more annoyed (not sure why)
I dont’ wear any of my rings at the moment but I know if someone complemented me it would make me happy too 🙂

@tiny tuna: I think some people are just unhappy no matter what!!
I’ve had that happen, too.. and I always feel like it’s because I work a food service job and they think they’re better than me. I’m not sure if that’s true or not but it’s the feeling I get!

@Mrs. Puffin: Yeah, you’re right. That’s mean though if they think they’re better. I’m sure your ring is gorgeous and everyone has the right to wear a pretty ring. 🙂
