@kitzy: Yes, I've seen the Novo as well, it is gorgeous! Unfortunately, I don't think we'll have the budget for a Tiffany's ring, so I'm trying to nail down the specifics of the rings that I like the look of so the boyf can do his research and find a ring that we both love at a price we can both feel comfortable with!
I think it's this one, in platinum: http://idjewelryonline.com/product_info.php?cPath=42_47&products_id=4061&cType=ER&osCsid=1ms1n3o4pa7t6uir30bpafi437
So it'd be about $775 in white gold, and closer to $1000 in platinum.
It looks like it to me (and someone else on that rings thread thinks so too - though the OP never came back to confirm.) I love looking at the rings on pricescope... so much purtiness!
@mak418: Oh I see, they must have purchased the G & Co setting through ID Jewelry.. I was scrolling through the little flash gallery on the G & Co site and it was really hard to see the details. Thanks for your quick research!! I'll have to contact them on pricing for yellow gold.. I really have my heart set on it!
@Lindsay12.31.2010: I know right? The amazing photos definitely help out a bit, they are WAY better than the photos on the designer's website!
I have the same ring- It's Gabriel & Co, and my husband purchased it through Good Old Gold in NY (though I just checked their website, and it's not listed there anymore...you might try contacting them though- they can probably get it for you. They also have amazing diamonds to choose from!
It's the thinnest micropave band out there (2mm)- and looks amazing. I can post some pictures of mine if you want to see what it looks like with the matching band!
Obviously the poster above me is probably right since she has the same ring, but to me it looks like "bead set" diamonds down the side.
@sshane79: Yes, please more pictures!! I hear good things about Good Old Gold, did you (or your FI) enjoy working with them? It seems like a benefit of the super-thin band is that it makes the center stone looks bigger - the center stone is 1.28 ct (which is pretty big) but I think it looks so much bigger on her hand!
@MademoiselleL: I think you may be right. Pavé would have prongs, right? I don't know very much about rings (yet), that's why I'm posting!
I believe it's called "fishtail" pave when it has the little notches alongside the diamonds -it's beautiful! And the fishtail details will make it sparkle even more!
husband loved working with GOG- would highly recommend them. They're very knowledgeable, and are able to get high quality cut stones. My ring looks bigger in pictures than it does in real life- but it's much more beautiful and sparkly in person- compliments all the time!
@sshane79: Wow, amazing!! So glad to hear that you're happy with it too. It looks great with the wedding band!
And thanks to everyone else replying/PMing me with information - you're all so helpful!!
So in light of my recent "tax return excitement," I decided to dig up this thread and see if anyone else wants to drool over this ring with me. Shameless, I know!!
@sshane79: Hi I saw your post and wow what a beautiful ring, It's perfect! and looks huge on your finger. I have been looking for a setting like that, I have some questions though like what size is your diamond? and what are the specs like the spread numbers of your diamond? you see I am looking for that look; big diamond spread like that but i have a moderate budget to work with. Also my boyfriend and I are considering buying our diamond and setting from GOG as well so this is why it would be so helpful for you to share your experience working with them for your ring.
@Cookie5000: You might want to consider mossanite, its a lot more bang for your buck than diamonds.

I've been looking around PriceScope forums for weeks.. Most of the rings there are a bit too blingy for me (I've been thinking about a round cut solitaire) but I recently came across this ring and I am totally obsessed..
It has a super-thin pave band and a gorgeous diamond (not to mention this is an amazing photo). But the thing I like most about it is the engraved look between the tiny diamonds on the band.
Does anyone know what this style of detail is called? I saw one of the posters mention fishtail pave, but other fishtail pave bands I've seen in the past don't look as beautiful as this one. I looked on the Gabriel & Co website but I can't find this particular ring. Here's one more pic for you all (you can see more in the original post on PS here).
Thanks for any info you guys can share!!
