Twiddy & Company sincerely apologizes for the inconveniences experienced during your stay. Our team works hard to provide trouble-free vacations and timely service, however, breakdowns can and do occur.
We received your call regarding the sound-system failure at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, the evening of the event. Our Maintenance Technicians typically respond to after-hours calls, but in this case we were instructed to use the home/homeowner’s handyman for all repairs. He was not available at that time and dispatched as soon as possible to address the issues. The Special Event Fee is not intended for emergencies such as this, but is charged to provide additional liability coverage and cover the cost of additional services required after an event.
Twiddy takes all guest issues and requests for compensation seriously and appreciated your patience while the situation was resolved to your satisfaction.

Hello, lovelies.
Mr. LO and I just got married, and it was amazing, spectacular, wonderful, joyous, and all those lovely good things. However, we can't credit any of that to our house rental company and I wanted to warn you all.
We booked with Twiddy, and everything was fine until we got to the house. Once we got there, carpets were ripped up, locks and doors were broken, molding in the house was held up with masking tape, there was fly tape hanging from the ceilings, and the house was in worse condition than we've ever seen it. We had mentioned several of these problems to Twiddy when we did a walk-through in August, but none of them had been fixed. We shrugged it off and moved on...until Sunday, our wedding day. When the sound system in the house blew out. All four amps in the house were tried, and nothing was working. We hadn't hired a DJ, since we were planning on using this surround sound system. Several family members called Twiddy while we mingled and pretended nothing was wrong, and we were told that an electrician was being sent. Our wedding was saved by some very intrepid friends that we are lucky to have.
The electrician did show up to check the house...the next day. He hadn't been called until 10am the next morning. We paid an additional TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS in a "special event fee", that ensured we would be covered if any emergencies arose and covered some additional cleaning. We were not helped AT ALL by the emergency service, and we spent the remainder of our honeymoon getting the runaround from Twiddy. To top it off, the fuse in the house blew while we were out, and we lost ALL of our leftovers from our caterer that were in the fridge, including our cake.
Just be warned. The house we stayed in was called Sunrise Surprise, and we are extremely disappointed in the service we received while we were there. We actually cut our honeymoon short because we were disgusted with the situation. We're negotiating with Twiddy now to try and get some reparations for all these issues.
As a note, I've heard of many people using them to rent event houses and having no problems. I needed to share our story, just so brides renting an event house can go into it with their eyes open.
I'll be posting happy, sunshiney recaps as soon as we get our pictures. Really, it was an amazing day and we felt so overwhelmingly loved, and I don't want to be a Debbie Downer. I have nothing but happy memories of our wedding day. This is just one of those things that needs to be out there as a warning, methinks.
