@future mrs:  We live about an hour away from the OBX (Virginia Beach).  I have a few co-workers who go down there every couple of weekends.  I will ask them and get back to you.

For all things OBX weddings you should check out

OBXbrides .com & obxwa .com

Those are the two local wedding associations.

OBX is a great place for weddings. In fact, we’re #3 in the top wedding destinations in the country. Are you familiar with the area? The rental company you choose will depend on what area you want to stay in.

Duck/Corolla is nice for family vacations, because most people spend all their time at the house or on the beach. For weddings, I suggest the Nags Head/Kill Devil Hills/Kitty Hawk area because they are centrally located. It will give your guests a variety of places to stay, eat, shop, and other things to do without making them drive too far.

My favorite restaurants are Lone Cedar, Owen’s, 1587, Blue Moon, Mama Kwan’s, Red Sky Cafe, and Kill Devil Grill.

We used vrbo.com to find a house when we stayed in Ocean Isle Beach for a friends wedding. There are many gorgeous homes there that are beautiful venues.
