    Hi OC Bees!

I am currently looking for my wedding venue for my August 2010 wedding.  I love the look of outdoor tented weddings, but I don't know of any city parks or places where you can bring alcohol.  Any OC brides getting married outdoors in a park or renting a space where you can bring your own food/alcohol?

The venue that I am currently looking at is the Navy Golf Course in Cypress.  It's great and I love it, but I want to find a way to go cheaper (and I'm trying to avoid cutting the guest list - It's too hard!!!)

    Thanks!

I will tell you this, that is exactly what I wanted and I wasn't successful... I mean I may have been able to research more but I looked everywhere and couldn't find it so I can have alcohol.

I went to a wedding once at the Fullerton Arboretum. They were married in the gardens by a pond with swans, then had a tented reception on the grounds. They did serve alcohol, but I remember the groom saying that they had to pay extra money for liability insurance. Not sure how much that is, but I paid $150 through wedsafe.

Here's the link to the Arboretum: http://fullertonarboretum.org/home_nav_links.php

You can try the Newland House in Huntington Beach.  It's located off of Beach Blvd.

It's a large wonderful outside venue with really reasonable prices, you can bring your own food and alcohol.  I had my wedding there August 3, 2008 and it was absolutely wonderful!  Good luck!!

Thanks all for the tips! We ended up going with the golf course that is only a mile from my house! It's the Navy Golf Course in Cypress.  We got a great rate per person and the girl helping us there is so nice and has already offered lots of support with vendor suggestions and even asked me if i would be interested in using some decor from her own wedding that was held at the same venue!  So sweet.
