I am the SAME way! I tried to let other people help and take things off my plate but they just ended up messing things up! I am planning a bridal shower this weekend and I let my Husband help with the invites tying the ribbon …Everything looked perfect and he was like I will weigh them to see what postage you need and mail them for you. I gave specific instructions about what kind of stamp and everything… Well I ended up getting half of the invites back bc they were over weight! I freaked on him and then on the post people! but in the end it all worked out … though the whole time I was kicking my self i should have jsut done it… lol

I hear ya, I’m the same way with just about everything. I tend to take over projects around that house that I help my mom with. Fiance is going to be designing the invitations so I am going to try and stay out of his hair, but we’ll see.

Oh my, I guess that puts the Y in DIY. I can be that way, too, but I try to get over it sometimes in order to actually get things done. I figure if the one who ties the bows doesn’t notice, neither will the person un-tying the bow!

Same here!

I even printed my envelopes because I knew they would all look different if they were hand written and I couldn’t stand it!

I was EXACTLY like that in the beginning… until I started to freak out about getting our invitations in the mail late.  It was at that point that I gave Smarty a comprehensive lesson in handling a glue stick.  LOL  I entrusted him with the task of gluing down the invitation cards in the pocketfolds… while I tied all the ribbons myself.

He did a great job, so I let him help with making the seating card tree last weekend.  I must say, he’s pretty handy with a Dremel!  :o)

Amen sister friend! I’m completely the same… I quite often get annoyed & think no one else can do it as well as I can. lol its terrible. My goal is to try to let go.

I’m going to try to follow the above mantra from mary alice: "If the one who ties the bow doesn’t notice, neither will the person un-tying the bow!"
