Well we are less than 3 months away and needless to say I feel like I am either procrastinating on my wedding to do list, asking for help with my wedding to do list or so enthralled I'm working on 5 things on my list at a time.
So I must ask: What are you working on this weekend?
PS: at the moment I have just finished our invitation and enclosure card wording, approved the invitation design my FI designed and now off to work on the guest list (again) and the bridesmaid newsletter I'm hoping to send out this week!
Hello - date twin :)
Well, my project for this weekend is to get our invitations finished, right now i am working on getting addresses on the enveloped. We did not do "save a date", so i will be sending my invites this week.
I feel your pain! Although we sent STDs and don't plan to send our invitations out for a month or so we are designing our own and I am dreading the printing, cutting and addressing process! Good luck!
Haha. Nothing. I'm being totally lazy. I am looking to book our officiant this coming week though, probably put the deposit down on the DJ too. Those are my last 2 big pieces!!! Woo!
Lots of date twins! I should be working on addressing my invites, but I am messing around on this website instead:) I have also been thinking about what I want to do for escort cards, favors, flower girl baskets. After lots of back and forth, I think we are doing breakfast muffins for favors--a little yummy for the next morning.
I'm working on invitations, cutting escort cards (no names yet, just pieces) and favors. It's a busy weekend!
This weekend I secured my make up & hair stylist. Last weekend we secured our videographer. Next weekend we are going to go to our venue to have a tasting, plan the menu and take a tour of a new inn they just built. We still have to send out invites this week....
I finished my invites. I just have to print the return addresses. But I feel like I am forgetting things.
This weekend I wrapped the hostess gifts for my bridal shower and the bridesmaid gifts. I also started my escort cards. I finished my invitations last weekend, to be sent out August 2nd.
I've been focusing on the ceremony (readings, songs, general wording). My mother learned to do calligraphy for the invites (she's amazing!) and she just finished addressing all of them!
We picked up the groomsmen gifts this weekend. Now, we need to work on our ceremony wording with our officiant. Our invites are done and ready to go out. I'll probably send them at the end of this month. Wow! It's getting so close!
Invites... except I'll be gone shooting a wedding out of town all weekend... yikes, lol.
I have been waiting for my invites, since the first ones that were sent didn't have our info on them, so hopefully they come by friday of this week! I also worked some more on making the centerpeices, and arranging for all the guys to have their first tux thing this wednesday, and I got two of my bm's to try on their dresses to see if any alterations need to be done. I also finished up some of the origami flowers we are using as escort cards!
INVITATIONS!! Haha, alot of us date twins here! Really, I've been working on guest list, trying to get a count from my FMIL for her guest list, so that we can order invitations! I am having trouble with getting this from her! Tonight FI and I are going to her house so she has no excuse!! I am also working on registering, started working on centerpieces and trying to decide on readings for the ceremony! I feel like after I hit the 100 day mark things started moving along ALOT faster! (I guess b/c I realized I have less than 100 days!! SO exciting!!)
I worked on my tan does that count?
Seriously thought the invites arrived, I made my appointment to get my alterations done early in August, bridesmaids dressed came in and I told them to pick them up, florist has deposit etc. I just feel really good right now. I need to make a song list for the DJ at some point, talk to our friend who is marrying us, get tuxes.
I'm so excited Oct cannot get here soon enough!
I ordered our invitations, started working on our programs, started working on a day of timeline, and continued searching for ceremony songs. Oh and I mailed our music to my uncle who's singing during the ceremony. Oh and I also started looking for flowergirl gifts and BM gifts..I guess I did a lot more than I thought this weekend.
So many date twins! I don't feel so alone anymore, lol.
I am trying to finish the invites this weekend - I slacked big time last weekend. Also my dad is driving me to Connecticut to help pick out a cake (he's a good sport). Mix that in with a bunch of unfinished DIY projects and apartment hunting and there's my Saturday and Sunday. Hitting the 100 day mark was a little scary, there seems to be so much to do and so little time!
I am headed to visit my parents for two weeks (well, actually, there will be a weekend vacation with Mom in there, but most of the time will be spent at my parents'/with family), and I'm planning to do a lot. We're getting married in her town, so she's been my go-between.
- FI snd I have a pre-marriage counseling session this weekend. (*rolls eyes* Whatecer, it's a requirement.)
- I need to make an appointment to get my dress altered!!
- I have invites to assemble, address and send. (The post office employees there are SO much nicer than here!)
- Mom, the minister, and I will be headed to the venue to discuss logisitcs and things... especially since they are under new management now and no one bothered to tell the people with events booked. Thank goodness my mother lives in the area and saw an article about it in the newspaper!
- I also have a bazillion questions to ask a variety of people on behalf of my photographer.
- I may check in with the cake lady, to see if there's anything she needs/wants to know.
- I need a haircut, and am considering going to the salon where I've booked my wedding appt, just so we can make sure I will have enough hair to style by the time October arrives. lol
Whew. Going to get a lot accomplished on my "vacation"!
I know that I am late, but we picked out our invites. I will be going to find where i am getting my dressed altered this coming weekend.
Hoping to knock out our flowers. (fingers crossed)
Also working on the last 2 inserts for the pocket fold invites, envelope liners, belly bands, addressing envelopes, etc. etc.
The to-list seems to be ever-growing.
I'll be addressing my invititations, big task but I couldn't think to pay someone else that kind of $ to do it for me. We'll also be finializing our rehearsal dinner plans (hopefully) and ordering our rings. So many small details to go...yikes.
Last weekend I dropped off my invitations for the calligrapher to address, ordered my veil, bought jewelry to wear with my dress, and booked the wedding night hotel for FI and I. This weekend I have my first hair and make-up trial and plan to finalize the rehearsal dinner menu with FIL's and FI :)
Addressing envelopes, wrapping invitations in beautiful but idiosyncratic eco-friendly twist ribbon, getting FI to stamp our invitations and RSVP postcards, buying postage, making bags for my girls for my upcoming bachelorette weekend, and finishing up miscellaneous painted signs. I love the invitation assembly process, but wow does it have a lot of components! Ooh, and on the fun side, we had our engagement shoot last week (one of my oldest and closest friends is our photographer).
Can't believe we are 3 months out, it's exciting! I'm waiting on getting the envelopes back from the caligrapher and I'm working on assembling the pocket folds, almost done with those...finishing up the centerpiecs (five more ribbon topiaries to make, and then assembling all 24 of them) working on the table numbers, working on framing the family wedding photos, working on the ceremony with our officiant, tasting next weekend, making flower kissing balls for the ceremony aisle.......fun stuff!
Sounds like the name of the weekend was INVITES!!
We decided on a design my FI made, finished the wording for all invite materials, continued working on the DIY centerpieces, ordered our passports. Now on to our three day weekend next weekend and the list continues!
This weekend we will be finishing the invites to get ready to mail out. We have addressed them they just need postage. I am having my friend play around with my hair to see if she can do the style I want. We will be attaching tags I made for our favors and we will start attaching fall berries to our center pieces. Ugh, I think thats it!
Moving. I am trying to get all of my stuff out of my old apartment there is little room in his condo so it has been quite a chore (been in my own apartment apartment for a long long time). Won't get my invitations until Monday when I do my next dress fitting. So maybe there will be no wedding planning this weekend...wow.
last hair trial and hopefully researching some venues for our rehearsal dinner
Invites for me too - we didn't do a STD, so I need to get them out by the end of next week (hopefully!!). Also going to the salon to pay off my dress (it came in last week) and hopefully a little shoe shopping!
Oh my! I am soooo behind! We are still finalizing venue, attire (although I have narrowed down what I want & am on ebay right now, too!), -- pretty much everything! As I keep telling myself (and everyone else!), I've already found the man, so I'm sure we can find everything else! Hooray for 10.10.10! :)
another 10-9-10! um... bridesmaid newsletter? i know you posted this 2 days ago but this coming weekend I'll be working on invitations, enclosure, etc. I'm DIY my invites so I was out running around finding the right paper for enclosures. Also found cards for my place settings, but i'm not printing those out til i get RSVPs back. I guess i'm a weekend behind, lol!
Wow! Lots of date twins...This past weekeng, I started DIYing our decor (candles, lanterns, treat bags), sent wedding party letters/email, and scrubbed the guest list in preparation for invites.
This weekend we are picking up our rings from jeweler, shopping for MOB outfit, and finalizing floral contract.
This weekend I am putting my wedding party to work! We're having a DIY day to complete (hopefully!): lace-covered votives for the reception, YAY flags and church pew cones for the ceremony, MR and MRS signs for our sweetheart table, and decorate our birdcage for our cards! Waiting for the invites to be mailed to me by the designer...hopefully, they'll be out by the end of the month!
100 days!!!
(where does the time go?)
Im so behind...haha barely sending out STD's and ordering invite stuff, favor stuff and deciding on our photographer! we've had our venue booked since january and had our tasting last month...oh and we're DIY music so we need to start deciding on that too! whew too much haha
this weekend is goign to be a little busy for me. I am going to get my STD's out...or try...for my OOT guests. Then Saturday is my pre-wedding celebration that my parents are throwing FI and I. And then on Sunday, I am going to check out the invitations with my MOH. Got a lot to do!
This weekend we are working on our ceremony, rehearsal dinner invitations and some of our DIY decorations (head table, backdrop, church pew) FIL's are coming over tonight to help us with table numbers (personalized), bubble packaging and frames :) I LOVE our wedding crafting nights with our family, they help keep our sanity, and are always lots of fun!! We cook a nice meal for whoever is coming to help us, plan them every few weeks and then go to town on the crafting! It's a great way to get stuff done :) (On the menu tonight is chicken ceasar tortellini... mmmm)
I did invitations last weekend, just need the stamps to arrive and will mail out Aug 1st. This weekend I am working on my DIY photo guest book...
Invites seem popular this weekend! That's what I'll be working on too. My friend is doing half the calligraphy, and I'm doing the other half. We're also working on our playlist and choosing ceremony songs and readings.
I'm on the invitation bandwagon too! I need to:
-compile all the addresses (getting FH to get his friends' addresses has been the toughest part so far!)
-do a test run of my planned fauxligraphy and decide whether or not it's feasible
-last night my stepmum volunteered to make my card box for me (SO nice of her!) so I need to put together some inspiration pics and send them to her
-get the tux info to the guys
-finally book a salon and hair trial
