10.12.12 is for me too! We have a reception and church booked so far. We also booked the limos and photographer. Our colors are gonna be mainly whites but splashes of purple everywhere, and purple uplighting at the ceremony. I am soooo excited!

    10.12.2012 for us, too. Smile

Colors: chocolate and navy, white, off-white, and a splash of bright green in the flowers.

    Checked off the list:

    • Venue (wedding + reception, catering)
    • Officiant
    • Photographer
    • Motels + Shuttle
    • Dress - strapless Reem Acra gown
    • 100's of milk glass vases and urns
    • Wedding website
    • Save the Dates (mailing this coming week)

Ready to make final decision on:

    • Music (wedding + reception) We have been debating whether or not to have the DJ also handle the ceremony music (it's very economical to add onto the reception ~ $250) or hiring a four piece ensemble w/violins, cello, acoustic guitar, piano, flute instruments options, plus vocal soloist for $650. I think we're going the DJ route due to cost.
    • The same company for the DJ will also handle the uplighting ($225).

The venue includes the white linens and head table/cake/gift table skirting, so I think we'll do navy uplighting. My MOH wants chocolate dresses rather than navy, so I thought that the uplighting might be one way of bringing in the navy color. I'm contemplating using navy runners on the tables, too.

Theme: "It's About Time." (By the time we get married we'll have been together nearly 14 years.)

Next on our agenda: rehearsal dinner venue.

I can't wait to hear what others are doing. Smile

Since we are doing an evening wedding in Atlanta, it is going to be a very formal red carpet affair! Our colors are purple and platinum. We have our venue, DJ, and photographer secured. Next up  - STD's and Invitations! It is going to be a very romantic and elegant evening! I'm so excited!

Hello fellow 10-12-12 ladies! I am getting married at Southern Oaks Plantation in New Orleans. My colors are royal purple, gold, and ivory. I have almost everything finished, minus some small details. I love a Friday night wedding!

10-12-12 brides unite!  =)  We are getting married in Ventura--outdoors, but our CA Octobers are incredible.  We have the venue (Serra Cross Park, it's gorgeous!), reception venue (future sister-in-law's home), officiant, photographer, and bridal party all set.  We'll be going casual, the less stress the better!  So far finding a tailor for Grammie's wedding gown has been the most frustrating.  We're honeymooning in Canyon de Chelly and Canyonlands Nat'l Parks!!  So excited!

    HereWeGo    October 2012

Woot!!! So glad to see so many other brides celebrating on a Friday!!!

We are having a rustic-formal themed wedding - think burgandy, burnt oranges, chocolate brown and splashes of blue. Ceremony and reception will be at a vineyard.

We've got everything arranged except for the following:

Wedding bands - we just need to decide on FI's ring: All 14K plated white gold or platinum and 14K WG. Will probably put the order in for both bands later this month.

Dress alterations - meeting with the seamstress next week to schedule a time to bring her the dress.

BM Dresses: I keep going back and forth on either chocolate colored dresses or blue dresses. My girls will be able to pick out whatever they want when I finally figure out a color - I don't want them to match style-wise.

GM Attire: FI and Bestman are dragging their feet on this. Hope to at least visit JABs or MensWarehouse by the end of this month.

Flower girl dresses - I have absolutely no idea.  :-/

    Invitations: That's my April-May project.

Music/song list for the ceremony and reception - just the important ones.

Buy coolers for bevvies (probably storage bins - cheap and reusable) - AND BUY BEER - LOTS OF BEER, bottled water, and sodas.

Random details for decorations for ceremony and reception - I have ideas and have most of the stuff, but just need to finalize everything:

               -  floral wreath for my pup to wear (ring bearer)

               -  flower baskets

               -  table numbers & centerpieces

               -  escort cards

               -  chair sashes - my March project

               -  signage

I'm sure other things will pop up, but that's pretty much all I have left on my timeline/to do list.
