The countdown is at 58 days (OMG) and we have almost everything wrapped up, but there are still a few things that I just can’t bring myself to start, let alone finish… and I can’t be the only one! Please share what you’re putting off/procrastinating!
My biggest procrastination right now is the reception playlist… we’re iPod-ing it and I just can’t bring myself to put that playlist together! I have a measly list of songs so far, and it just seems so overwhelming that I keep putting it off… le sigh…

The seating chart for sure!! We have all of our RSVPs back so I am able to start, but I am dreading it.
I am also dragging my feet on the music. We’re having a DJ so I don’t have to worry about it too much, but I still hardly have any “must play” songs listed

@slombard87: the playlist is my big problem right now! I know I need to get to work on it but I just… Ugh… I don’t even know. Also, writing my vows. Haven’t even thought about them yet.

Auuugggghhhhh. Only 58 days?!?! Help!
I’m putting off making pomanders. I’m dreading the thought of where I’m going to store the number of pomanders I want to make without them getting crushed.

luckily for me, my Fiance is a radio personality and DJ, so he is taking care of all of the music… so that task for both the ceremony and reception was scratched from my list. Won’t be able to start my seating chart until September 18th… but no big deal, I am only having 75-80 guest.
I have not started the ceremony program, but I have the paper and a template, so that should be easy.
I need to come up with a timeline for my Day of Coordinator… but I think that is about it.. oh and mydress I need to figure out what we are going to do with it.. My BFF is a designer and she is taking the dress I have and tweaking it somehow…

@slombard87: Add the playlist to my list. We have a DJ, but he wants a list of songs that we want played. My first appointment with a florist is this weekend. I havent signed the contracts for decorations (linens, lighting, dishes, etc.). We have yet to register, and our website still needs work. Plus a bunch of other small-ish things like my jewelry, card boxes, gifts for attendants, etc.
As an excuse, I’ve been more concerned lately about my fiance moving here. We’re long-distance, and he was just hired a couple of weeks ago for a job near me. He’ll be here in 10 days, so I’ve been working on getting my apartment suitable for two people to live in it 🙂
I’m naturally a procrastinator though, and I work well under pressure. Let’s hope that applies to wedding arrangements, too.

-Song list (also iPod-ing it)
-shoes (need to wait and see how the dress fits – it was too small in the hips when I got it and didn’t sit right. Two more weeks and I should fit in just fine)
-Suits for groomsmen/groom/father of the bride/man of honor – this is more FH dragging his feet, though
-seating chart – but we don’t have the RSVP’s in yet, so I can’t really do that yet.
-Hair and make-up testing – my sister is doing mine, all I need to do is find some simple hairstyles and make-up that I like and she should be able to do it.
-making paper flowers – but I have a good reason for this one. Currently working on a baby blanket for a baby shower next weekend. Kind of need to get that done first.
I’m sure there’s other stuff, but that’s all I can think about right now.

Still tooooo much to do. I’m dreading my seating chart, but I would like the rest of my RSVPs back so I can do it.
Getting so excited. 🙂
tried on my dress again last night for the first time since like April and it still kind of fits..probably need to get it taken in a bit so its not sliding down all night.

I am soooo procrastinating on the “must play” and “do not play” playlists. Oh, and picking the songs for the processional. I know my song, but that’s it. I just don’t want to do it lol.
I really want to get the place cards and seating chart done but I don’t have all my RSVPs yet and it’s killing me. I just want to get those over with!

Whew, I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s doing a lot of procrastinating!!
Another task that I’d rather not think about is picking a wine for our wine box. Wine shops are few and far in my area and we just can’t seem to find the time to travel to one and pick out a nice wine. I’m seriously considering getting a bottle of Barefoot for the ceremony and just figuring it out later…
@CurlyTop24: That sounds like a pretty legit excuse to me! I’d like to think that I’m a good procrastinator, but more than likely it’ll end in lots of anxiety and crying at the last minute…

Music has been my biggest procrastination. Between picking ceremony music, must plays, and do not plays. I really need to start working on that!

@slombard87: OMG OMG OMG I HAVE A DATE TWIN!
Sorry, I am super excited, I thought I was the only one on the 13th!
Things I can’t do yet:
Seating chart, place cards
I am procrastinating on table numbers, out of town bags and bathroom baskets. I know I should be buying things for the guests when they go on sale and not at the last minute, but I just don’t care enough to invest in that right now!

@slombard87: you can always research a wine and then order it online from Total Wine or some place similar

Put me down for putting off the playlist too! I thought we had our first dance picked but we did a trial dance last night and it’s too slow!
Also on my list is taking my dress for alterations. I’ve lost a bunch of weight and feel like I’m still losing.

@MrsFutureG: Hooray for date twins!!!!
@IzzyBear: That’s a really good idea! I’ll check out the website and start procrastinating what I should be doing at work right now. It’s a vicious cycle…
