Just wanted to know, with under a month to go for us October 2013 brides… How much more/what do you have left to do??? As it gets nearer for me, I’m feeling a tad stressed with all the last minute bits & pieces.
Have you had a lot of help planning or do you feel like you had to pull it all together?
Also to any brides who’s BIG day has gone…. Was there anything you FORGOT? Or wished you had added/done?
Good luck planning & can’t wait to hear from you all 🙂

@MissTrin: Glad I’m not the only stressed October bride!!! I have SOOO much left to do!! We still don’t have: rings; cocktail music; transportation; menswear; honeymoon; day of paper (menus/programs/place cards/table #s etc); ceremony reading or music selections; hair trial; day of coordinator; oh and I haen’t gone for my first dress fitting yet!….pretty much I have a LOT of planning left to do. I have not been able to sleep at night b/c I keep thinking of all there is to do!
My sister got married this weekend, so everyone has been very focused on her wedding (she was busier than me); but now I think everyone needs a little break from the wedding maddness. I also am freaking out more b/c I saw how stressed out everyone was the week of her wedding, and I do NOT want to be in that same boat!
I am moving to the city where our wedding is next week, so I get to finally meet all my vendors about three weeks before the wedding…hopefully the internet was good to me when I made all my choices!

@MissTrin and @NavyBride2013: I totally understand how you’re both feeling! Navy, I’ve also been having trouble sleeping recently due to wedding related stress. I have the littlest details constantly running through my brain! It’s annoying.
I still have to order our place cards and menu cards, order my veil, order our favors, get the centerpiece fillers (our venue provides the vases, we just have to fill them), choose our music for the ceremony and reception introduction songs, and have my hair and makeup trials. I’m picking our cake hopefully tomorrow. OH, and have I mentioned that we’re planning our wedding from 1800 miles away? Super frustrating lol. I constantly worry that I’ll be a bald bride because I might start pulling my hair out.

- Wedding: October 2013 - A Beautiful converted Barn
I am waiting for the wedding worries to kick in – though, I have 7 weeks as of 2moro – and so far i dont think i have forgotten anything….so far!!
the only things i have to do are dependant on final numbers – name cards, table plan. all other day of paper things are just waiting to be printed, which i am doing at home.
i bet i have forgotten something MASSIVE!! LOL!!

I feel like we’re in a good place right now! We went and looked at alcohol prices today so we can stock up in October and got FI’s vest to complete his suit. We just have to finalize the ceremony/vows and then the rest of the signage and table seatings when we get back the rest of the RSVP’s at the end of the month! Oh! And my dress fittings start at the end of September!

Ok I feel better and will reply more tomorrow when I get some sleep, but happy others are in the same shoes, and sorry bees, but I feel better knowing I have done quite a bit more. BUT you totally can do it!

October sixth is on its way. I’m so excited! Can’t believe that the day will come soon. i still remember how he proposed me on February 2, 2012 and started the long distance planning (10.000 miles away from each other but the love grows stronger each day)
i’m pretty much done with some stuff but still have some homeworks to do:
1. Food – thinking to just purchase from the Sam’s Club.
2. MOH dress – my tailor is still making MOH’s dress.
3. Ring Bearer – we’re still don’t know who to be the ring bearer, lol.
4. Music for ceremony – i need to email the piano player to discuss about it.
5. Music for dinner – i still don’t know how many songs to be played for two hours reception.
6. Program – i made already but still need to buy the papers and need to print it.
7. MC – i still don’t know if i need it in the ceremony and reception.
8. Gift for the Piano Player – i want to buy something cute for her.
9. Flowers – still compare real Calla and fake Calla before Monday cuz my fiance will order it on Monday.
10. Favor – still can’t decide what to give to guests as a thank you.
11. Decoration materials – fiance will buy lanterns and small lights soon.
12. Cake – we want to make it by ourselves so we’ll learn. Lol.
anyone has a suggestion or opinion about those lists i put? Maybe it can help me 🙂

@butterflyangelo: Date twins! It’s so close, aaaah!
I still have tooooo;
Buy gifts for the groomsmen and my bridesman.
Buy the jars, decor and sweets for the evening buffet.
Get a cake cutter and toasting glasses
RECEIVE MY DRESS 🙁 🙁 🙁
RECEIVE MY BOUQUETS
Get wedding night underwear
Make the favors
Do a hair and make up trial that I’m happy with
Figure out my ‘something borrowed…’
WRITE THE VOWS
Do my boudoir shoot
Arrange all the wedding stationary with the venue
…I’m sure there’s more. I used other people’s lists to remind me so I hope that mine might jog someone else’s memory 😉

@NavyBride2013: & @Saria213: OMG! I thought at one point I was going mad hahahaha I too could not shut off at night, my mind was racing with a million things… i have to order candy, I have to order the bags, that supplier hasn’t got back to me, i need to pay for this… Just writing it is giving me mild headaches! It’s a LOT of small things that do depend on numbers as @weird_bunny: mentioned (I’m glad to know someone seems on top of it all)
@misschickpea: I have to finalise my readers and make up order of ceremony booklets! One thing that’s easy is our vows are as is with the church’s wording.
@butterflyangelo: Music! That’s another I’m sorta worried about b/c the DJ is supplied by the reception and I’ve read reviews saying they messed up key songs (first dance etc) and didn’t play lists provided by the couple, which is slack b/c this day should only happen once! I’d say put in as many songs as you want. It’s better to have more than falling short! Upbeat songs are good to get the guest going. I like a lot of old music… early 90’s, 80’s and even Jive/swing.
@asianbarbie: 🙂 I have done more than I thought too then 🙂 but stILL, i’m with other bees on the million thoughts/no sleep boat!
@Demi-chan: I’m lost on the whole something borrowed, something old. I’ve got the new & blue though ahahahaha I’m stressing for you regarding hair & makeup! Here in Aus if you don’t get them booked asap they’re gone and it’s very hard to find someone who knows how to style/makeup differing skin tones etc. and who keep you beautiful & natural. I don’t wear make up so I feel clownish when it’s heavy. I had 4 make up trials and eventually settled on taking my own foundationb/c they couldn’t match me with their supplies. I had to book over a year ago to secure my hair stylist! Good luck.

@Demi-chan: hello date twins, you remind me more that i forgot to add:
13. Cake cutter – i think my fiance knows where to buy.
14. Writing our vow – hope we can finish it a week before the wedding.
15. Escort Card – i still don’t know if we’ll do this since we’ll have only around 30-40 people.
@MissTrin: thanks, girl. I’ll prepare more songs.

I’m a late October bride – October 26 – so I have a month and two weeks left. I thought I was perfectly fine and ahead (minus altering my dress, but I only have to add a bustle and cups to it) and then I started writting out a list… it ended up being 9 pages long! Thankfully, that’s mostly due to my Type A personality and making list after list for things! I now have a picture list I’ve sent over to my photographer, a DIY list, a shopping list, a day of reminder list, and on and on and on… Can you tell I like list? haha
I currently still have:
All my DIY stuff (which is fine because I saved it all till the end because I knew I’d be moving and would be jobless, so plenty of time to do it all!)
Altering of my dress
A few other small things… adding lighting to my ceremony location, confirming everything, packing everything up (all the decor – we’re having a out of town wedding), day of details (what everyone’s doing the day of)…
I hope I’m not forgetting anything! good luck!

34 days away for me and we have a sizeable list still!
meet the maids/men signs, groomsmen shirts (still need two of the guys sizes), marriage license, song list, photo list, meeting the photographer, seating chart, tracking down several RSVPs, making stuff for the kids table, finishing up getting gifts for the ring bearers.
I’m sure there is more that I’m just forgetting now xD
