SimplyEuphoric: I hear ya! After meeting with our catering manager yesterday… I have more things to worry about than I thought I did before our meeting. For example, although I knew it was a possibility, our venue has a tentative event in our ballroom the night before (ending at 11p,), so now we can’t decorate what minimal decorations we have to do the night before… and will have to find the time (and people) to do it for us in the morning since my timeline is packed from the time I get up until the last dance is done!

However, it was a good meeting and things were finalized… so, silver lining? *lol* We also met with the gal who is doing our photobooth and know that will be a fun time for all. We also bought ties for the GM and our dad’s – which I happy to be done with.

Other than that, I view my “To Do!” list every day and will hopefully have a lot more crossed off by the end of the weekend. This weekend will include the following (and FI is out of town for his bach party):

  • Making flowers – boutonnieres, corsages and finishng up the bouquets
  • Deciding on table decor with other flowers and where they will go
  • Writing on the chalkboard signs (guestbook and one that one of the RB will carry down the aisle)
  • Find a better font for the programs
  • Narrow down music for social hour/reception
  • Narrow down pics for slideshow
  • Buy MOG gift (waiting for my CC statement to close)
  • Order bracelet that I might wear (again, waiting for CC statement to close)
  • Return online ordered flowers before deadline for credit

These things will be my Friday night and ALL day Sunday priorities. Saturday is now busy, as ESPN College Game Day is in town and some friends want to go down to watch it that morning – and maybe get on TV! Then, I’m going to my college alums (NDSU!) football home opener that afternoon, and maybe out with friends that night. If not, I’ll be at home working on wedding stuff after the game.

Oh, and for your escort card thing – I had this great idea that on the RSVP cards everyone would write their names next to their food choice, and then I’d made card tents with their name and entree for them to get the right food. Um, no. People were NOT writing their names on the RSVP cards, so when some came with back all numbers and no clue who wanted what, I had to brainstorm.

I ordered my invitations through Vistaprint, and they sent envelopes for the Info/Reception card – which I didn’t use. So, I’m using them and addressing the outside with each guests names (just like the invitation we mailed), and inside will be the meal choices selected on color coded paper, and each guest can hand them to whatever they wanted… so the servers know who gets what. Easy enough, and will hopefully get that done WAY before it’s needed. *wishful thinking*

SimplyEuphoric:  25 days away for us!!!!

You know….. we for some reason got REALLY stressed out last week which caused a pretty substantial totally over nothing argument (tuxedos, seriously? dumb)…… so we realized we needed to get away for a weekend. We booked a room at the Disneyland Hotel and we went to the happiest place on earth all weekend. And boy did that help!!!!!!

Now……. we are so ready to get this over with! We are a lot more relaxed and ready to tackle the final touches.

I had my second dress fitting last week and my dress is looking freaking AMAZING!!!!!!

Unfortunately my hair dresser fell through last minute (that was a 30 second crisis thank God…) so I have my trial tomorrow with an even more awesome hair dresser. We shall see what happens there…

Other than that, we are ready to get this show on the road!!!!!!!!!

16 days to go! I’m actually pretty terrified. I hope my anxiety doesn’t ruin the whole day :-\ I’m very uncomfortable about being the center of attention.

I feel like there is so much to do… but my list is definitley not as extensive as most of yours (so I guess that is a good sign!)

I am pretty strung out right now, since I’ve got to move house first!

I’ve got to…

– Finish packing up my entire life and clean the house so we get deposit back.

– Finish writing order of service, get it properly designed, and then find someone to print it.

– Make table numbers

– Finalise table plan and get that to venue

– Send list of songs to DJ
