Things are going really well!

– All the paper items (programs, place cards, reception signage etc.) are going to print today.

-Finalizing details with the church and our musicians for the ceremony

-RSVP deadline is Oct.1 – once that’s out of the way I need to start work on the seating plan/charts

-Also once the RSVP deadline has passed I need to get all the little logistical details to my venue: meal choices, special dietary requirements etc.

-Confirming with all our vendors and getting the remaining balance sent to each of them

I think that’s about it…we’re in a good place πŸ™‚

YAY!! We have a thread– that means we’re getting close bees! Laughing

  • Still waiting on about 30 RSVPs to come back then I can finalize the seating chart and print the seating chart– I’m doing a big one rather than escort cards

  • Waiting to finalize program in terms of music, have to listen to the songs on piano and organ and see which I like better before I can print and then assemble
  • Have to do dress fitting, waiting until the very last possible moment to see if I can lose anymore LBS
  • Marriage license which I think we’re getting tomorrow morning!
  • Hair trial!
  • Tanning or spray tan– are any of you doing this and if so, which one?
  • Finish BMs gifts
  • Finish choreographing/teaching my FI our first dance
  • Put as much of the centerpieces together as I can
  • Finalize transportation to honeymoon
  • Finalize song lists for pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception

Other than that I think we’re in great shape! All the big things are done just the little details. I have my check off list on my desk everyday! It will all be here before we know it!

OMG you guys are making me feel so much better!  I was paniced that I had sooo much left to do but it seems we are all on the same track.

My RSVP date was Sept 1st thank god because no one actually responded and with so many people traveling the early date was a necessity.

Still left to do:

– Second dress fitting next week

– Had a bad hair and makeup consult on my one trip to my wedding location so that freaks me out.  I have to figure out what to do about that.

– Need to order veil.  first one’s color was off

-Order cafe lights for courtyard

-Figure out reception menu (but already mostly decided) and print up buffet menu cards

-Figure out ceremony and reception music.  FI promises we will work on it this week

-Find wedding earrings (FSIL is going with me this weekend to figure it out)

-Get OOT bags together and ready and design tags for items in bag

-There are things we have to do the week of the wedding since ours is out of town so I am not really taking those into consideration at this point in time.

-Figure out weekend of wedding schedule.

Girls we got this!!!

Anyone else starting to get weepy at random moments?? I hope I’m getting the crying out of my system now because if this is any indication to how I’ll be on that day my makeup better be applied with permanent markers!!

My RSVP dealine was Monday. I’m still putting the finishing touches on:

– Music for the ceremony (harpist) and reception (iPod)
– Seating Chart
– Programs, escort cards, signs
– DIY projects – card cages, table numbers, glitter pumpkins, monogram pumpkins
– Favors
– Attendant gifts
– OOT bags
– Making final payments to vendors
– Marriage license
– 1st dress fitting on Tuesday
– Karaoke after-party!!!

Looking at all of your super-short lists is making me feel hopelessly behind. Eep!

Oh, gosh, you girls are making me feel behind!

Still on my list:

–Marriage license
–Finish writing ceremony/vows (FI hasn’t even looked at it yet!)
–Pick readings and readers (pretty sure we know what we’re doing, but haven’t hammered it down–was it hard for anyone else to pick readers?)
–Get program info to invitation guy to get printed
–Make various signage (explaining our cake topper (based on our nicknames for eachother, drink menus, etc)
–Oh yeah, decide on FLOWERS and CAKE (gah! I’m doomed) (seriously though, have the vendors, just need to make final decisions.  It’ll be fine, right?)
–seating chart for reception and rehearsal dinner
–finalize day-of timeline (need to talk to DJ this weekend to hammer out the rest)
–figure out day-of transportation for pictures (everyone else thinks we can rely on our cars, hotel shuttle and taxis, but I don’t want to be wandering around looking for a ride in my wedding dress alone when I’m trying to get to our first look!)
–confirm all vendors (hoping to delegate this to someone) and honeymoon reservations
–make card box
–order wine and beer (waiting to get most of the rsvps back to do this)
–pull all vendor contracts and put tips in envelopes for them
–a few other random DIY/special touches that I’d really like to do, but might get cut at this rate.

***hangs head in shame***  My new motto is “It’s fiiiiiinnnnnneee.”  Only thing keeping me sane right now! πŸ™‚

@Habibah14 I’m going to do a spray tan.  I did one for our e-pics and really liked it.  I would recommend doing one where a person actually sprays you (e.g. not a machine) and doing a trial run if you can squeeze it in in the next week or so.  Also, some people like getting it on their face, but I don’t.  Makes me break out which I sooooo don’t need right now.

Hey Bees! Just checking in to see how everyone is holding up.

We’re in great shape, we got a lot done on Monday, had it off for Columbus Day. Last night did my trial and I’m excited to see it all come together. Tomorrow I go for final fitting and pick up my pumpkin orange shoes πŸ™‚

I emailed/followed up with all my vendors, waiting to hear back from a couple but looks like we’re in good shape.

No DIY projects really left to do, have to just finish wedding signs. Have to go grocery shopping and cook next Friday for the rehearsal and for our “fall delights” after the ceremony.

Our friend and day of helper/coordinator is coming over tonight to go over details so she’s in the loop and can help coordinate everything the day of.

Have to still figure out my something old and borrowed!!!!

What do you all have left to get done?
