I mainly have little things left to work on (a lot of DIY things, or ordering online), and I’ve just been waiting for sales/coupons to buy a few things but am OK if something isn’t super cheap – but still not overly expensive. Maonly stiff from craft stores, and they have sales on stuff all the time.

I know we saved a ton on invitations and are just getting our cake done a grocery store bakery – but still feel that everything will look good and be what we want.

unfortunately I haven’t been as frugal as I would have liked, but granted I’m in grad school and planning my wedding from across the country. I’m not doing a lot of DIY, just trying to not go overboard and look for savings when I can (e.g. using coupon codes for invites, cheap favors).

Cammy99:  I’ve been super budget concious all the way through but last week I went out of budget and booked a photo booth. I really really really wanted it, so we did it. It’s getting so close!!

vmason009:  I have been contemplating a photo booth, but I don’t think we can afford the splurge unfortuantely 🙁

Cammy99:  I was able to justify mine since I got

him for $550. He will be there for two hours of the reception and I got the scrap book package so I’m going to use that as my guest book. I decided by the time I paid for my own photo booth, camera, film, a book for those pics, someone to man it, etc    I probably didn’t do too bad.

As as for bargains, I bought most of my decor on craigslist, including my three bridesmaids sola bouquets. I got my dress at a resale shop with the tags still on it. the shop was closing so I got my dress, veil, and sash for $288. It’s an Oleg Cassini so I’m super proud of that bargain.  🙂

Ugh I’ve gone the opposite. I’ve realized there are last minute things I want and I could care less about the price at this point. I need to get acrylic cupcake stands though and ebay has them so much cheaper so there’s a savings right? Haha

I did manage to get a bargain on my shoes, but the shoes I got are actually more expensive than the ones I initially budgeted for, because the shoes I budgeted for didn’t fit. So whilst I got a bargain I still spent more. Siiiigh.

102 days here – starting to feel the pressure!

We honestly don’t have that much further to go budget wise, so we aren’t getting any huge deals anymore. We have a little less than $2,000 to pay off, and most of that is tied up in the photographer/dj/officiant final payments.

I did end up finding the ties that SO wanted for him & his GM at $6 each, so happy about that. The other tie he wanted was $60!!

Once we the entire wedding paid off [we’re at 89% now!!!], we are going to book the rest of the honeymoon. And, if once the honeymoon is covered, I’m going to go back and purchase a BUNCH of these for the head tables! I love them, but want to make sure everything else is covered before taking the plunge!

Ah, we wanted a photobooth as well but I couldn’t fathom spending that kind of money on it – so we probably won’t. We are planning on using any leftover money on our honeymoon… so the more we have, the less out of pockety we’ll have to pay.

I think we’ll be within our budget, but it’s all of the little things (which I may have said in my previous post) that will add up at the end.

I have to be resourceful since we are paying for our wedding ourselves but it helps that I am also a gigantic cheapie and love Ebay so I have gotten TONS of deals on wedding items! I think my biggest steal was a pair of new Badgley Mischka heels for $35.

I also got a crazy great deal on my gown (off Tradesey never worn Allure lace retailed for $1800, purchased for $550) and veil (english net cathedral length retail $75, purchased for $15 off eBay). I also scored my card holder for $10 off Craigslist! I tried to scour sites as much as possible on the items I didn’t mind getting pre-owned since every little bit of savings counts for us!

Side note… no photobooth for us either. It feels like we are the only ones in the universe not having one but we just couldn’t justify paying someone $200/hour to run that thing on top of all the money we already paid our photographer.
