I have decided I am not stressing over all of that…. I am Octoer 5th, with approximatley 100 guest.  At this point, I think I have 5 RSVP’s back, but I know they will trickle in here pretty quickly.

I am getting my dress evolved and I need a pair of shoes, but that won’t take long.  The wedding program is not yet settled and we need one other minister, but that will be what it is and we need to get our marriage license.

That’s the biggy.

It seems like there are so many little things to do at this point! Booking and deciding on the big stuff was stressful enough, but I’m not sure if all these little projects are more cumulatively stressful than trying to choose a photographer or venue! Anybody else feel this way?

I still need to:

Finish favors and wrap them

Draft up ceremony program

Decide on seating cards/board and do that

Get dress altered

Get FI’s suit tailored and get his socks and cufflinks

Figure out which flowers I want and get them ordered

Get more RSVP’s in

Figure out if I want to ask the catering company to provide a second dessert

Make pomanders

Squee! I want more threads like this just so I can keep talking about it. With 59 days left, everyone I know is sick of this subject.

I need to put together the OOT bags and bathroom baskets. That’ll be last minute as my mom wants to help.
I need headcounts and to set a menu for our venus (2 weeks before the date)
Fittings/alterations
Fiance needs his groomsmen gifts
Place cards/seating charts/table numbers
Get license (we’re officially in the window where can! EEK!)
Figure out how to top off my centerpieces (anyone want to give some suggestions?)?
Design my guest book

I have most things done but here are a few that I still need to do. It looks like a lot but most are pretty small/easy.

Finish dress alterations

Make place cards/seating chart/table numbers (need all the RSVPs for these though)

Finish bridesmaid gifts (ordered their robes yesterday!)

Meet with DJ to go over timeline and finish music selections

Meet with DOC to go over timeline

Finish rehearsal dinner menu

Get wine for guestbook

Finish premarital counseling

Get marriage license

@MrsFutureG:  what do your centerpieces look like? Maybe we can help.

@IzzyBear:  Yay! So here’s how they will look. The vases will be slightly different and the classy tablecloth/mess will not be there.

I want to add something at the top. We’re not doing flowers or that would be the obvious answer. I considered a floating candle, but those are water beads, I don’t know how a candle would react to it. There wouldn’t be a fire as the beads are 98% water, but when it is nearly melted, what will happen to it?

Ideally, I’d like to put something up top that can be done quickly, preferrably ahead of time, for minimal costs and that can hopefully prevent people from sticking their hands in the vase and playing with it.

Suggestions?

@MrsFutureG:  feathers? Maybe white, instead of black though

I’ll keep thinking and post more too 🙂

@IzzyBear:  I feel really bad at how much I hate that centerpiece. Sooo no, apparently not feathers!

Maybe I will grab a giant flower or two or something after all. We’re doing fake flowers so I’m trying not to put too many in the centerpieces. My aunt suggested a piece of tulle but that would require too much on-site prep work to stick it in place.

Maybe I’ll hit the craft store and brainstorm.

@MrsFutureG:  what about 3 taper candles and sticking them in the beads at different heights. I doubt people will play with fire haha

@IzzyBear:  Perhaps. Or something with candles in a base, the beads can support weight.

If you think people won’t play with fire, you haven’t met my family. Or my friends!

I just took care of our menus, programs and placecards this week. We already have all of our RSVPs back and our final head count. I sent out our invites super early because literally every single person is coming from out of state.

I still need to…

Buy my bridemaid gift (its already picked out and I only have 1 bridesmaid)

Narrow down some more music and meet with the DJ

Dress alterations

Pick up marriage license

Take care of other small details

Make the seating chart (ugh… I’m dreading this)

Spray paint our candelabras

I spent the early party of this week feeling panicked, but now that I ordered a bunch of our paper products I’m feeling a little more productive 🙂
