ah! Where did the time go? It was so far away for so long and now it’s almost here.
So tell me! How’s the planning? What’s done? What’s left? How’s the budget? Any pics?
Time will fly and it’ll be our day before we know it. October is a busy month for us in general so that’ll be even better.

We are having a very small wedding, at an all inclusive venue, so my post might not be the best indicator of readiness.
Venue is secured and paid for in full, reception venue is booked and down payment has been placed. Hair and makeup is appointment is reserved. I have my entire wedding day outfit but dear fiance…nothing yet, including the ring!
We bought our flights from Germany but still need to buy our domestic flights to Tennessee, as well as book hotels and rental cars.
We will be on a family vacation to Disney World and have placed down payments on hotels and food plans but need to pay in full in October.

dreamreve1 : October bee here! Time is really flying fast!! I have quite a bit of DIY projects that need to be competed for the reception but everything is moving along well. We’ve already created the guest list, secured all vendors, paid for everything (in cash – hallelujah), planned our honeymoon and purchased all decor. What’s left on my to do list:
Launch wedding website
101 different DIY projects lol
It’s going to be awesome! Xoxo

We had planned to get married in December but moved the wedding to October 15th. I’ve got the dress, I’ve got the church ready, I’ve prepaid for flowers, honeymoon is paid for, and deposit on reception venue. I even gave the groom a gift card for his tux. I’m getting so nervous about “the walk” because I tend to get dizzy when standing for too long (Orthostatic hypotension issue) Soooo we are thinking of sitting down for the vows haha

I have most of the big things done. To be honest, I have no idea what’s left as I haven’t even thought about it in a while. I am soooo busy with all other stuff. Trying on my dress really made it feel real and made me so excited. We have 5 of our best friends getting married this summer so once I survive that, I think I’ll be even more excited for ours.
I have a meeting with my decor person this Sunday. Gotta meet the videographer soon. First fitting on July 20.

Also I’m having a large-ish (220 people) wedding in a VHCOL. So it’s interesting looking at budget wise. I think we’ve done pretty damn well with everything minus venue. Our costs minus venue is about 20K.

Eee I’m so excited! We’re getting married Oct. 21. We’ve had all of the major things booked and done for a while, but now it’s time to work on all of the details, like finalizing the invitations, putting together seating charts, final fittings for the dress and tuxedos, hair and makeup trials, etc.

We had a 2 1/2 year engagement so saying that I am SO excited is the understatement of the year! We’re getting married in Mexico so we have a lot less to do than some people.
I’m dropping off my dress tonight to be bustled, bridesmaids gifts are done. We just have to find pants for FI and the groomsmen! Basically aside from pants and a couple odds and ends, we need to pack our bags and go!

October 14th bride here!! We have all the main things done and booked but need to finalise final details eg menu, seating charts, formal invites, dress fittings still to go to (groom has no suit yet though which is making me anxious) and need to finalise first dance song together with wedding cake flavours. What are you bees dancing to?

Late October bride here! We have:
- Ceremony & reception venues booked and paid for
- Save the dates sent
- Hotel for getting ready/wedding night booked
- Dress bought and seamstress found (haven’t started alterations – I purchased a sample)
- My ring bought
- Invitations ordered
- Wedding website/RSVP site done
- Registry done
- Friend agreed to officiate
- Vows written
- Some small decor like cake topper ordered
- Booking photographer (we’re talking to one we love on Friday)
- FI’s wedding outfit
- Rest of my outfit (shoes, veil)
- Catering and booze (our venue is BYO) – eep
- Cake and desserts
- Marriage license
- Rest of decor/flowers (we’re DIYing a lot)
- Rentals, e.g. tables, chairs, tents (the venue has some – these are just supplementary)
- Sending invites
- Booking honeymoon (will just be a long weekend for now)
- Figuring out music for both ceremony/reception
Our wedding is pretty casual so no menus, programs, seating charts needed but I still have a ton of minutiae like a guestbook, transportation to and from venue, hair and makeup, etc. left to do.
We’re having a 100ish guest wedding in a VHCOL area as well and trying to keep it under $12k (much easier as we’re having an extremely low-key event but still a challenge)!

October 7th here and I THINK I have most things done.
-venue for rehearsal dinner and wedding/reception booked
-menus, cake, and signature cocktail – done
-my dress and accessories – done
-bridesmaids – dresses/shoes – done – still deciding their jewelry and gifts :-/
-decor has been purchased – some DIY aspects need to be completed closer to the wedding
-save the dates sent/invitations purchased
-dj/photographer/photobooth/hairstylist -booked – on my third make up trial
-transportation for guests – Lyft – done
We still need the groom and groomsmen attire, dress fitting, wedding bands, and to decide on flowers. Oh and decide on our honeymoon destination.
Overall I’m close, my day to day planning has calmed down and I just stare at my spreadsheet like what am I missing…
