vip0802:  I’m getting married 10/4/14 and plan on the RSVP date being September 1st.  I think that would be enough time to finzalize everything before the wedding.  When do you plan on sending yours out?

We’re getting married 10/11/14 and our cutoff date is Sept 1st.  This is partially because it’s a destination wedding, and partially because we owe the total for everyone’s accommodations (that they’re all pitching in for, but it all has to be on one check) by September 19th and that gives us a couple weeks to hunt people down if need be.

vip0802:  Our venue needs a final guest count 30 days before the wedding, so we’ll probably set our RSVP date as the start of September, so we have time to chase people up if necessary before the venue need the numbers. We’re getting married 25th October.

we’re 10/18/14 and are planning a 1st Sept. RSVP date to allow a week or so chasing non-responses and then the month-before meeting with the venue for finalising numbers/menu/etc

vip0802:  The etiquette police may hate us, but I learned from my 1st daughter, who married last year. The 2nd is this year – end of August. We’re mailing them out the middle of May, RSVP date July 14th. We’re doing it, because like you, we have 2 of 4 room blocks, that expire on 7/14. The others expire the end of July, which gives the stragglers a few more weeks. All his side have a 3.5 hour trip – ours 1.5 hours, so it’s semi-destination, in state. We have to have some numbers in 1 month before, so it gives us 2 weeks to follow up with guests.

The venue doesn’t need their final count, until a week before, but last year we needed the chair cover numbers, tablecloths, and centerpieces 4 weeks before. P.S. Save the Dates were mailed-out last October and the website was on them, with accommodation information already set-up.

I am getting married October 11th and I made the RSVP date September 10. I wanted a month to get favors, figure out how much food will be, etc., but I gave myself a month and a day because didn’t want to put September 11th on there as it makes me sad.

Our wedding date is October 4th so we made the RSVP date September 20th. We’re not too worried about time though since it’s a small wedding and even though 95% are coming cross country most are family and really close friends that I already knew would say yes lol
