I’m not a huge fan of veils, or rather, I would say, I am not a huge fan of the traditional veil. Therefore, when I get married I will either be wearing a veil connected to the bottom of a headband so that the veil is more like a drape hanging from the nape of my neck or just some flowers in my hair. My personal veil inspiration comes from this…

A DIY Michigan Wedding

I think if I were you, I would do the veil for the ceremony and headband for the reception. Do you have any pictures with you wearing each?

I am not a fan of veils as they remind of dressed up mosquito nets, but my parents wouldn’t let me leave the store with my dress without a veil, so I made a deal and got a headband and veil and I only am going to wear the veil and headband for the ceremony and some pictures, and i’m not wearing the veil infront of my face at all for any part during the wedding.

I am wearing both. I will have the veil (catherdral length) at the back of my head (tucked under my bun-like style). The veil will be taken off after the ceremony and pics. I wear this headband (with three rows of sparkle) by itself during the reception.

I’m doing both too. I bought a fingertip veil, but I decided I wanted something a little longer and dressier, so Im going to go with a chapel length one for the ceremony only. I have a pretty headband that I got from Icing for about $14 that I’m wearing at the reception.

I’m doing both! I have a birdcage veil that I am take off for the reception, but I’ll be wearing the headband all night. I made my headband, so I’m super excited to show it off! the headband part, I got from Forever 21 and the vintage brooch is an etsy find.

I’m doing an elbow length veil with crystals on the edge and a custom made brooch/feather thing under it that matches my bouquet. I’m very excited to lose the veil and unmask my custom hair pretty (as my daughter would say).

I haven’t seen it yet but if it is anything like my bouquet I’m sure it is beautiful!

my bouquet is in lilac and silver though.

I’m wearing a veil for the ceremony, but I’m wearing a hair flower for the reception.

I’m doing what Miss Kermie is doing – a veil (cathedral length) for the ceremony, and then just a hair flower for the reception.
