FI and I met onstage at a local theatre. Now that we’re living together we go to things like renfests, pirate days, etc….and we have an entire roomful of swords, costumes and accessories to use.

Yes…we’re a little addicted! lol

It’s not incredibly odd… Especially in my group of friends because we all do it, but most people don’t expect a 21 year old to sit around crocheting/knitting for fun. That and minecraft with FI.

We do archery, I guess that’s a smidge odd? 🙂

Hm, I carve soapstone/alabaster, but I don’t know how odd it is.

A little odd, I guess, since it takes a LONG time to complete a single piece 🙂

Mine isn’t really odd, at least imo it isn’t.  My coworker laughs.  But she is forced to look at them with me.  Haha.  I got into it thanks to my sister in law.  And it is actually quite relaxing.  But rock hunting.  Sil insists its agates, but when I search google images they dont look like agates.  But here are some images of ones we’ve found together…and thanks btw, now I want to go hunt for some more.  Lol.

@Ibblet:  I have a few: I keep tarantulas, breed geckos, D&D (pen and paper, 3.5), making costume accessories (like this one made out of old mason jar lids, pipe fittings, and old belts)

@Luayne:  I honestly have no clue what it really is.  According to a gem site, agates are made from lava.  I have a hard time figuring out what they really are.  I should take it to the next gem show we have in town and see what they are and if they have any good uses to be made into things.  I lost the bottom one though and that was one my daughter found.  I have a feeling she took it to show and tell and lost it.  The top two images are from my sils friend who goes with us.
