I'm not a girly girl at all, and when J and I started talking weddings, I went to another big site, and was so discouraged. Then one day another bride linked her Classified post on WeddingBee, and I stumbled my way over here... and then I never left! I left that other site :) and never looked back.
The Hive is so encouraging! I have no clue what I'm doing (especially when it comes to clothing!) and everyone here is so helpful and gives me so many great words of advice and encouragment.
I love it here! So much that I became a Hostess after a few months :) because I wanted to pour out as much love on WB as the hive as poured out on me!
I found WB through some random Google search on pomander balls (I think?) At any rate, I started reading the boards and realized what a great place this is to talk about everything, not only wedding stuff. Everyone on here is so friendly and helpful!
I had severe internet burn-out before I found WB. Now I'm happy to log on ;)
Wow, where do I begin? I love this site! It has been so helpful, even the FH has appreciated it. The DIY tutorials are awesome, and helped us with our wedding maps! And I love, love the boards! And the picture galleries are great to find some inspiration. And the blogs are great too! When I read the blogs, I love how every Bee seems to have a great sense of humor.
I love all that this site did for me during wedding planning. The dedication Mrs. Bee, Mr. Bee, Pengy, and all the other behinds the scenes folks put into this site is so inspiring. I'm still around because I'm trying to give back all that I can now that I'm on the other side of wedding planning & and even by being a Hostess. :)

I found weddingbee when I googled wedding chat or something to that extent. I lurked for about a month before I finally just made an account. I was heavily into the classifieds section before I found the boards. Best find ever!! I like friggin love this place! The advice I've gotten and the friends that I've made is amazing. It's fun to take this journey with tons of friends who all can relate to how your feeling and what you're going through.
I especially like it's diversity.

This is such a sweet thread!! Weddingbee has helped me tremendously. I can't even count all the ideas I've gotten from this site, not to mention all the great people I've met! I seriously heart weddingbee!
I was googling non-floral centerpieces and saw Mrs. Lemon's, then I fell in love with her whole wedding and then the whole site.
It's so much more friendly here & the responses are almost immediate. I thnk I posted something on Theknot and it took a week for a response. I also love the diversity of the ladies who post here. We're all sizes, races, sexual orientations and for the most part we're all cool with each other. It's just a really well rounded community.
I don't remember who posted it or where, but I do remember reading this and it kinda stuck in my head:
"Could you plan a wedding without WB? Of course. But why would you want to?!"
i honestly don't even remember how i stumbled upon WB, but it's definitely been the best support system through this planning phase! i love my friends and FI dearly, but something about a community of waiting, brides to be's, and married women all over helps in a way that ppl near and dear to you can't help you with sometimes!

Im trying to plan my wedding in Puerto Rico from Massachusetts, i dont get to much input from my FI and all my family and my MOH are in Puerto Rico which is note help at all... Wedding had help me with ideas and having a community of girls who are willing to help me and give me opinions is soooo great...

The weddingbee has definitely helped me in more ways than one. I feel like I've become part of this special group of people that are all in the same boat/have been in the same boat as I am. Knowing that I can count on any of you bees is incredible. Everyone has been so helpful and so kind. I love it! It has also provided me with some great wedding/nwr ideas!

So, I think that it's about time that we let Mr. and Mrs. Bee know how much we appreciate this site. Please sound off on what Wedding Bee has done for you, how you found out about it, etc.
I'll start: I found out about the site from FI's friend's wife. She just got married a year and a half ago and met with me to give me advice on how to plan, etc. I am so thankful to her that she let me know about this site. I am on it as much as posssible...sometimes more than that :) I love being able to post and have so many people that are going through the same things that you are respond and give you their honest opinions and advice. With the info/advice coming fellow bees, you know that it's unbiased and honest, because noone really know each other. I tell planning Brides about it as much as possible!
