I loved my hair stylist, Daleesa Weary. She's a bit "off the radar" (found her b/c my makeup artist recommended her). I had done a trial with another stylist (one with lots of reviews on the various wedding websites) with disappointing results. Daleesa aced the hair trial on the first go around, and my wedding day hair was even prettier (plus it stayed absolutely intact for 10 hours). Her contact info is on her website: http://www.daleesaweary.com/
try my stylist. she works out of wayne, nj though not sure if that's a problem for you but she will travel. www.merylinmitchell.com
I don't really advertise as a vendor on wedding sites bc I am not a fan of crazy & I won't do a bridezilla! I get the majority of my brides thru referrals or local avenues (I'm Astoria based), because I am a licensed hairstylist working freelancel. I also do pre wedding cuts, color, cusrom extensions, etc and am equally adept at both hair & makeup--you can check out my page at www.edendibianco.com

I had my hair trial with one of Stacy Pitt's assistants (Stacy herself was already booked for my wedding) and wasn't thrilled with the results. I need to start over. Have been googling and weddingbee-ing like crazy, but haven't found anyone I like. Does anyone have recommendations for a lesser-known stylist? (The Sissi Chans and Sachiko Yanases of the world are already booked.) Thanks SO much!!
