Weddingbee boards

As most of you know, we live in Italy, so this isn't a huge, huge trek, but to me it's a huge emotional deal. Meeting the rest of his family hasn't been great. It's been a mixture of anti-elitism (wearing high heels apparently is a sign of capitalist upper-class oppression) and racism (yeah). So I'm kind of nervous.

My husband's grandmother is taking a cruise and landing in Rome for five hours (five! What can you do with five hours in the eternal city??) and we'll be trying to sell-up our elopement (which I hear she's not pleased with) and, well, me too as she's never meet me before.

Wish me luck, hive! (and I'll miss you all while I'm away over the weekend!)
