We are considering a move to WV and career change. Im thinking about translating my American Studies degree into teaching HS Social Studies. Any thoughts?

I'm not a high school teacher but I'm currently student teaching in southern wv in an elementary school setting. But the wv girls are few and far between on these boards so, I know I am not quite what you are looking for but if you have questions or something feel free to ask me. If I can help I certainly will.

@ames12708: thanks for responding and contgrats. Are you a native? We are considering buying land and moving to WV and I am wondering if there is an overflow of teachers, or would I be able to find a job in a more rural school?

@retreadbride: I am native and yes you should deffinetly be able to find a job in rural school. In fact the rural schools are really in need right now.
