MOHlookingForIdeas:  OP’s ring size is 2.5 if I remember correctly – I have her noted down as “the Bee with smaller fingers than mine” 🙂

linnylou_88: You know it’s no secret how much I love your set, right? 🙂 Get well soon!

linnylou_88: Oh, I know what you mean! Here in Slovenia, everyone’s wedding rings are matching pairs and usually really broad and heavy – none of my recently married friends’ ring is narrower than 4-5mm. Some girls actually have diamonds in them while their husbands don’t but delicate, thin diamond rings are pretty much impossible to find. Those thick, wide matchy things are the norm and I hate them. I’d love something similar to what you have, it’s gorgeous. So I imagine people will look at me like I’m from another planet when I get mine too! lol

linnylou_88:  No, I haven’t yet, we’re not officially engaged yet but have a tentative date set for October (but it might not work if he has to move abroad for post-grad studies in September, in which case we’ll have to wait another year… le sigh). The man just doesn’t understand that a wedding doesn’t plan itself in a week! lol He’s brilliant but completely clueless about some things 🙂

I think my e-ring will be a solitaire for a very mundane reason – he’s saving money for his post-grad program so expensive settings are out of the question. But I need my shiny fix so I plan on getting a pave or channel set wedding ring (I’ll be paying for both our wedding rings) so they’ll definitely look like two rings. I’ve tried this combination on and it looked lovely. I know exactly what you mean though about two rings looking like one wide ring when they’re very similar. I have tiny hands (I think an average 8-year-old has larger hands, actually! lol) and wide rings look completely out of place on me.
