- Wedding: December 2011
Fiance and I have a friendout couple with the sweetest little 1 year old boy. The husband is one of FIs groomsmen, and we would love to have their son as our ring bearer. He has been walking already for almost 4 months (fast learner!) so that isn’t an issue and he isnt at all shy. But since our wedding is only a month and a half away and it was decided this week that he would be our ring bearer, just because we weren’t sure if he was going to be walking and such well enough to do it before now. We are just having the groomsmen rent vests and ties ($30) and wear their own black pants and white shirts so it isn’t like they had to spend a lot of money for our wedding, but his wife is also one of my friends and hosted a shower for me this week too. So getting to the point, these are well off people with good jobs while Fiance and I are still broke college kids. I don’t want to offend them by offering to buy his outfit for the wedding, insunating that they can’t afford it or something, but I also would really like to since we are very excited about having their son as our ring bearer. So now, the question, would it be weird to offer to buy the outfit or would it offend you if you were them? Or am I totally over thinking this and should just buy it? The other issue is I have no idea on size… so I would have to ask about that first anyway.
For reference this is what I would love the ring bearer to wear… http://www.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?GrpTyp=PRD&ItemID=1cd8dba&deptid=70676&dep=BABY&catid=81618&pcat=BABY&SelDim=29~&NOffset=0&pcatid=70676&Ne=29+4+5+23+1031+8+18+904+949&cat=baby+boy+0-24+months&N=4294934035+565+4294961597&SO=0&cattyp=RLE&Nao=0&PSO=0&bcCat=3&CmCatId=70676|81618
